• Update 1.1.1 — New Chapter & Improvements - 28 November 2025

  - Added Chapter Five. A short platforming level that concludes Mark’s storyline. You will finally learn whether he found his family… or if the truth is something else entirely. Reworked the puzzle in Chapter Three. Instead of simple number matching, players now assemble a small pipe-maze. - Improved Chapter One. Notes have been moved closer to key locations to help players understand their objectives and the dangers ahead. /- Fixed minor bugs and technical issues. The game will continue to grow: chapters will be expanded and refined, and new puzzles and improvements will be added over time. While the original concept was much larger, you can now experience a complete version of Mark’s story. Thank you to everyone who supports The Fifth Bell and leaves feedback it truly helps make the game better.

  Patch Notes A new small update is now live! In this version: Fixed a bug on the fourth level (the labyrinth) where the story widget did not appear before the level started.   Update 1.0.9 - Small Story and Visual Tweaks A small update focused on improving the story presentation and polishing visuals. Some story images have been slightly reworked and refined for better consistency. The stamina (run) bar has been redesigned - it now has a new visual style and no longer bugs out on the first map. Minor fixes and small improvements have also been added. Step by step, The Fifth Bell keeps getting better - thank you for staying with the project and supporting its growth.

  What's new: Chapter 4 added - "Hell Maze". A playable maze with hellish hounds patrolling the corridors, blocking your way. • Update 1.0.5 — New Locator, Improved Chapters & Weapon System - 27 October 2025

  Warning: It is recommended to delete the game and download it again for proper operation.- Chapter 1 — “The Village” Added a locator for finding items — it works within a 250-meter range, giving both audio and visual feedback (the indicator light glows when you get closer). Added sprint ability — you can now run short distances using stamina. Slightly reduced the size of stones to make searching more challenging, but more intuitive with the locator. The Reaper is now faster, and the time between bell rings has been reduced — making gameplay more dynamic. - Chapter 2 The story is now presented in a comic-style format. Fixed an issue with picking up the lantern — the E key and LineTrace system are now more accurate and reliable. - Chapter 3 — “The Nightmare” The entire chapter has been completely reworked. Added a small puzzle with a code lock. Introduced an underground area and continued…

  Minor bugfix and stability improvements. Small issues have been resolved to make the gameplay smoother.

• Minor Bugfixes and Optimization: - 5 October 2025

  -FPS Optimization: Tree models in the old village have been replaced to improve performance. European alders have been replaced with chestnut trees, and grass textures have been reduced. As a result, FPS has been stabilized on high settings. -Intro Story Fix: The opening comic (intro cutscene) now plays only once during the first load of the game session. It will no longer appear after restarting within the same session. -General Stability Improvements: Minor issues related to level transitions and object rendering have been fixed.

  Optimization and stability Reworked vegetation and tree textures. This reduced CPU load and improved the overall performance of the game. Now the world looks better and runs more smoothly. Additional fixes were made to increase FPS and overall gameplay smoothness. Atmosphere and visuals Added new visual accents on the maps to make it easier for players to navigate while keeping the sense of mystery intact. Enhanced certain environmental details to make exploration feel more alive and engaging. This is only the beginning: more content, new mechanics, and game expansion are on the way.
