- Snaggleteeth Software Games On Steam becoming free soon! - 10 April 2026
In around a week, if not a bit after, both Caveman Caravan and Digital Defender O.R.C. will become free on steam. I want as many folks as possible to enjoy my games, and figure this will be the best way to do it. To folks who have purchased the game already - Thank you very much for your support and kindness in purchasing and playing the games. I hope that you’ll continue to enjoy my games and be on-board with whichever ways you can support me in the future. Again, thank you very much. I enjoy making video games, and I hope you continue to enjoy playing them and future games I make as well.
- Caveman Caravan V 1.1.6 - Improved Informational Clarity - 3 April 2026
Thanks to everyone who has played Caveman Caravan, and my games in general. This small update addresses the most common piece of feedback - Tiles now show you, in plain text, a list of their tags below their description This should help players who weren't fond of relying just on small 8x8 symbols which were understandably difficult to keep track of or memorize. Thank you all for playing.
- Caveman Caravan V1.1.5 - 2 February 2026
Thank you for playing! Here's a fun bugfix that comes along with a similar one for Digital Defender O.R.C. : ) Bugfix Fixed an issue where the game would be scaled and positioned unsuitably for players with ultra wide screens.
- Caveman Caravan V1.1.4 - 2 February 2026
Thank you all for playing Caveman Caravan! This is just a quick bugfix after a bug was brought to my attention. Bugfix Fixed a bug where finishing a season with your number of available rewards expanded would sometimes give you an empty option that caused the game to not progress after selecting it.
- Caveman Caravan V 1.1.3 - 5 November 2025
Thank you for playing Caveman Caravan! This update is a small update with just a few adjustments: Balance Change: The effect of the tool "Needle" has been modified. The emergent strategy that came from using it before was unfortunately tedious despite being powerful. I don't want to quash an effective combination, but when that effective combination becomes boring to use, a change feels neccesary. Its new effect should lead to at least less tedium in its use in most situations. Presentation Changes: Locked characters will now more visibly display their unlock requirements without needing the question mark moused over. One of these locked characters now also shows a button prompt to help navigate toward the mechanic involved in unlocking them. A hint toward an easter egg was added to one of the exploration events of a tile.
- Caveman Caravan Soundtrack Now Available! Also, check out Digital Defender ORC! - 3 November 2025
Thank you all again so much for playing, enjoying, reviewing, and sharing our first game! Several people have asked about buying the soundtrack, so I'm happy to make that available for purchase! The soundtrack includes all the music from Caveman Caravan, as well as three tracks from the upcoming Digital Defender O.R.C. ! Please continue to enjoy Caveman Caravan and its music, and look forward to Digital Defender O.R.C by the end of the year!
- Caveman Caravan V 1.1.2 - 25 October 2025
Bugfix:Restored functionality to the tool "cooksheet" after previous update erroneously gave it the name and functionality of harsh condition "scavengers". Though if you have scavengers on an active run save, it'll still be present in your tools instead of cooksheet. All future runs should have proper cooksheet functionality.Additions:The title screen now has a small visual reward for clearing a run with each leader. The easter egg character unlocked with the code "FROG-LORE" now has his successful runs tracked as well, with visual flourishes like the others, although they are not considered for achievements or the logo color change requirements. If you had previous wins with him, you will need to win again for them to be tracked now.
- Caveman Caravan V1.1.1 - 25 October 2025
Bugfix Fixed a bug where loading the game with fullscreen enabled and then quitting without doing anything else that changed configuration would effectively wipe the save file clean. Thank you again for playing, folks.
- Caveman Caravan V 1.1.0 - Small Content Update - 23 October 2025
After continued observation of gameplay from players and personal testing, this update seeks to implement some needed changes for the purposes of better game feel. ADDITIONS:"Harsh Conditions" Expanded The amount of possible harsh conditions effecting game mechanics directly(previously just heavy fog and quakes) has been expanded. There are now two categories of mechanics-impacting harsh conditions, one normal variety which appears on the second and third season, and then a harder variety for the final. For example, Heavy Fog is now a standard variety, while Quakes is in the harder category. This should help to make the midgame of a run less difficult on average, but keep the endgame consistenly more challenging. Game Speed The game speed should now be more consistent across devices. The game speed can also now be adjusted up and down with buttons next to the options button. Speeds incl…
- Caveman Caravan V 1.0.41 - 19 October 2025
Bugfixes Finally directly reproduced, tested, and resolved the cause of the issue that would make the game hang when tile-replacing effects replaced tiles that were just placed that had tile replacing effects. Thanks to everyone who reported this bug and gave information, it made it easier for me to reproduce it in testing to find it and squash it.
- Caveman Caravan V 1.0.4 - 19 October 2025
Bugfixes More circumstances where tile replacements caused the game to hang were resolved. Please report this big, or any other circumstances where the game enters a state where it is not interactible (usually aside from still being able to adjust volume) and I'll be happy to continue resolving them. Fixed the Egg Nest not properly restoring to its prior state when a run save is reloaded Resolved an issue introduced by a previous patch where replaced tiles did not carry over the higher stats between their pre-change and post-change counterparts. Burn down that rainforest tile with no fear for it losing its resource power! (but protect rainforests in the real)! Fixed a few situations where game speed would slow down Gameplay AdjustmentsEvents which change a random piece provided by a caveman in your caravan into a tool now displays which piece was lost when showing which tool was gainedT…
- Caveman Caravan V 1.0.3 - 10 October 2025
Bugfixes: Resolved issue with infinitely recurring tile replacements introduced by previous fix. Whoops! Resolved issue with tile replacements causing the game to hang. Resolved issue where a certain achievement was not triggering Thanks for your patience as I resolve issues, for playing and for your support, and for letting me know about bugs you find!
- Caveman Caravan V 1.0.2 - 8 October 2025
A few more quick bugfixes and small balance changes for issues found thanks to you reliable players : ) Bugfixes An issue where tiles would try to spread to nearby tiles but fail and cause the game to not be progressable was resolved An issue where the game would stop progressing when a tool tried to check a tile that was just changed by an effect after being placed was resolved Balance Changes Swamp gained the "Blue" tag Stomping grounds lost the subtle "empty" tag, meaning it should no longer be replaced by spreading tile effects, unless they're imposing on its still-existing "dangerous" tag Thanks for playing, caravaneers, and have fun!
- Caveman Caravan V 1.0.1 - 8 October 2025
Thanks so much for playing Caveman Caravan! This project was my first game, and your support and interest in my creation means the world to me. Here's the game's first update. This quick update to the game fixes a few bugs and adjusts a few elements balance-wise. Bugfixes An issue where a tool's sound effect would interrupt the victory jingle was resolved An issue where sometimes the game would load in the set of tool invent options twice at once was resolved Balance Changes After observing how many players play, a few simple adjustments were made to the balance of tile events: The first time you visit a tile in a given run, you are guaranteed its unique event. After that, revisiting the tile keeps a high chance of getting its unique event. A few tile events retain their once per run nature, but only in circumstances where it would not make sense to get the event twice. This is as oppos…
