Ranger is a short, permadeath adventure game. You'll collect surprising spells, forage for useful trinkets, face off against gnarly beasts and, if you're lucky, discover what lies at the end of the river. Ranger recaptures the sense of discovery and wonder of the early 1980s ASCII adventures by being completely text-less and number-less: you'll need to discover the rules of the world using your intuition, creativity and wits in order to thrive. Like all good games, in Ranger you'll begin at the base of a waterfall. Multiple biomes: get lost in the forest, dance in a clearing, lie down at the beach, hop over ancient ruins, inquire with the locals in the big city. Ranger is custom-built for emergent gameplay: missing a fireball may be your invitation from a benign encounter to a dangerous forest fire.
