- Patch 1.4.0 - 12 August 2026
It's good to patch things up. In this patch we fix up the following: Trolley not saving correctly. Prices able to drop in to the negatives. Now prices have a min and max variance, and the further away prices get from original pricing the less likely they are to drift in that direction. Market graph display issues. Checks for customers taking expensive or unique items have been corrected. Dialogues for bobble repairs have been fixed.
- Patch 1.3.1 - 7 August 2026
Very minor patch this one. Fixed pricing of specific later game products not saving across sessions. Added the floral wallpaper textures which had accidentally been excluded.
- Patch 1.3 - 6 August 2026
A lot of rework for employees restocking has been completed. Employees can be assigned to stock items which you have not yet assigned prices, or to only stock items which you have set prices for. Employees restocking items with no assigned price will default the price to +10% above market price. Restocking shelves which have items assigned take priority over empty shelves without a price tag. Restocking shelves which have no items assigned to them as secondary priority. There are some other fixes that are included around employee cashiers, item prices, and shop settings included. We hope you find the employees restocking a lot more helpful now. Any issues, you can find us in our Stoat server: https://stt.gg/C8WBMwMb
- Update #3 July 29th - 29 July 2026
Still unable to replicate the bug causing saves to become corrupted. This is still a very rare occurrence and most likely already fixed. As a precaution we have automated the restoration of save backups, if they have been created since implementation. Hopefully it isn't needed, but better safe than sorry.
- Update #2 July 29th - 29 July 2026
We were advised of a critical bug which causes save files to become corrupted. Unfortunately the bug is not yet able to be replicated, however it may be related to one of the bugs fixed in the previous release. We are actively trying to replicate the bug at the moment. For the time being we have added more logging to the save process, and are creating a backup of the game save files before starting the save process. If the issue does occur moving forward we can obtain more details for a fix. The backup will prevent a complete lose of saved progress, and you can restore this backup from your systems application data directory. We are very sorry if you have encountered this issue.
- Updates July 29th - 28 July 2026
Some more minor bug fixes and a crash fix. Fixed the Bobble Stand Medium delivery causing a crash. Fixed sorting collections by price. Fixed UI bug showing "Sell" instead of "Place" in some instances when moving furniture around the store.
- Updates July 28th - 28 July 2026
Few more bug fixes: Further changes to how customer dialogue is generated. Fix for payment logic where in rare cases the customer would provide less than they should. Fixed loading a store with a number of extensions divisible by 3. We are currently planning improvements for our employees restocking and cleanup logic to make it much smarter, and making these employees more useful. There are also investigations in to performance of the store lighting underway. So stay tuned for those improvements.
- Update July 27th - 27 July 2026
Sound extra fixes for a glorious Monday! Fixed bug preventing loading a save with certain workbench configurations. Fixed bug allowing certain displays to be packed away while products are still on them. Fixed animations of certain items on load of a saved game. Fixed in game tablet not opening to the Collections screen when interacting with a Bobble Stand or Card Holder.
- Update July 26th (Aus Time) - 26 July 2026
Some quality of life improvements are being implemented. All rejoice! Credit card payment input.Entering a value such as 12.3 will automatically charge $12.30. No longer needing the extra 0 to be entered. This also means entering 177 will automatically charge $177.00. This does not mean you can under or over charge customers. Monetary values are still required to be exact. Front door space reduced. This will hopefully make the first extension more usable from the beginning. Fix for customer dialogues. Under certain specific conditions these were not appearing for the player to interact with.We are currently working on improving the feedback around customer dialogues, so it is more clear when they are successes or failures. Look forward to that in the next update.
- Even More Stable! - 25 July 2026
Some more stability and bug fixes never hurt anyone! In this patch we address the following: * Random Crashes due to a divide by zero has been tracked down and fixed. * Picking up a bobblehead being targeted by an automated trapper no longer breaks the automated trappers targeting. * Fixed loading of a saved game with customers that were previously awaiting dialogue. Even though a stable bobblehead would be considered a broken bobblehead, enjoy the more stable bobblehead experience!
- Tablet Interactions - 24 July 2026
We have updated our tablet interactions so that they are click based, not focus based. Initially the intent for a focused based system was to mimic navigation of a tablet style system. Obviously this isn't great for something driven by a console or PC. As such, the in game tablet menus will now wait until you click on the button, before changing anything. Please let us know if you encounter any errors with this new change so we can fix them ASAP.
- Feedback & Fix - 24 July 2026
So apparently customers did incorrectly take items off shelves which had yet to be priced. This is clearly not correct. An extra check to validate the price is set has been added to stop this insane behaviour! Other than that, it is clear that allowing incorrect change or card payment values only in the customer favour is a pain point. Now the exact amount needs to be input. We don't want incorrect amounts in the players favour, since that could easily be exploited. This feels like the best option. Hopefully this makes the experience better. We are still improving and adjusting things based on more feedback. So please continue to let us know so we can make this as fun as possible.
- Crash Fixes - 24 July 2026
Working off the assumption that the random crashes are caused by possible divide by zero errors, we have made some changes. Areas that could possibly result in a divide by zero, but have not in any of our testing, have had checks put in place to prevent even the possibility. Hopefully this resolves any future random crashes. We are continuing to monitor and attempting to recreate the crashes.
- Customer Reviews Fixed - 24 July 2026
Reviews from customers are much better when they can be read. All customer reviews now show up and are being translated as expected. Enjoy reading what your customers think of your store!
- Bugs Being Fixed - 24 July 2026
As bugs are reported, we are fixing. The two bugs fixed in this patch are: * Reloading a saved game has customers remain in store and also remain queued. Not leave the store with unpaid items. * Employees who are working as cashiers did cause a crash if interrupted during payment processing. This has now been resolved. There are some other known issues causing crashes we are attempting to replicate. Please bare with us while we replicate these crashes and push out fixes.
- Opening Soon - Bobble Shop Simulator - 2 June 2026
After a little over a year of development, Bobble Shop Simulator has a confirmed release date of July 24th!Yay, woot, hurrah, and so on!There are only a few remaining things left to ensure a smooth grand opening.First we have to finish creating the textures for all the different products. It total there are about 25 left to make which is about a week of work.Second is implementing the remaining products, which isn't that difficult. All the code is there, functionality is working, so it's just data being added.Third and most important, is the final testing round. This will reveal all the bugs we have created, and allow them to be exterminated. This will also come with some identified optimisations focused on rendering, which is our biggest issue currently.Fourth is out of our hands, but should be available in the coming weeks. A rectangle area light source that is being added to Godot in…
- Updated Bobble Shop Simulator Roadmap - 16 April 2026
The updated demo is released! There was a lot of feedback about the demo being 1 dimensional. So we added more content to the demo. You can now repair broken bobbleheads for customers, hire additional employees, sell furniture you no longer use, market price fluctuations, and we made some performance improvements! What is our plan moving forward to get the full release out?Glad you asked!Currently the main focus is functionality. Programming the remaining logic for NPCs and Player actions. When all of this is finished there will be another play test to ensure everything works.Afterwards the focus will be the remaining modelling, animations, artwork, and sound effects. Hopefully this will prevent me from jumping from task to task too often, and focused on single areas at a time.I Can't wait for you all to see the new functionality coming for the release! Here is our revised roadmap. We are…

HUGE thank you to everyone that played and reported bugs/feedback through our Discord. It's always good to see how others approach playing a game, as that's generally where the bugs lie. There have been several bug fixes implemented and changes made based on feedback. The next play test will happen later in January. That play test will include more content and full controller support.Localization for Arabic, German, and Brazilian Portuguese is being planned for the demo release, but may not be ready for the next play test.Once again, huge thank you to all those that reported bugs and gave feedback.
