• Bug Fixes - 19 August 2026

  There were a few bugs that were not ment to be released with this update.If pause menu stops working try clicking on a few puzzle pieces and try pausing the game again, working on a fix for this bug.Level progression now works properly for the free updateLet me know if you have any issues with the game!

  HELLO EVERYONE!It has been a while. I needed to take a rest before creating the next update but I’m excited to share that next update for TIE is coming soon!Here’s what you can expect in the upcoming update:Removal of the old Dark ModeA New Game+ system designed specifically around Dark ModeA small story expansion that ties into the base gameA new indication system that shows whether you’ve beaten a level before (currently a green outline in the level select menu)Bug FixesAnd here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll see in the new menu system!

• Next Update Schedual - 20 May 2026

  I’m moving the release date for the next major update, A Painter’s Needs, to June 30th. Since this is a solo project and I only have one artist, I want to make sure we have enough time to finish the new assets, story elements, and menu improvements at the level of quality the game deserves.This update is all about bringing more life, personality, and polish to Tinkering Is Enough, and taking the extra time now means you’ll get a much stronger experience when it arrives.Thank you for your patience and support.I can’t wait to share this one with you!

• Removed Cleaning Minigame - 27 January 2026

  After testing and really paying attention to feedback about the cleaning minigame, I have decided that it is in my best interest to remove the cleaning feature from Tinkering is Enough. Its not fun enough to keep in the project. I have rolled back the demo to a more stable build. If there are any fun little minigames you want in the game please let me know!

• Tinkering is Enough NEW DEMO! - 14 January 2026

  Tinkering is Enough new DEMO!I have updated the demo to a more complete and satisfactory state. I have not documented everything, but here is the majority of what I have done.Dark mode is officially implimented into the current demo, and is triggered by a random event that happens at the beginning of each puzzle.Every item you fix now has to be cleaned.When the power goes out you now have to replace a fuse in the wall to turn the power back on.Slight changes to the colors, and overall tone of the game.Many small visual fixes.Recoded the majority of the game to function properly with the new Cleaning minigame and Dark mode.Many, many, many bug fixes.I will work on making some newer artwork that better reflects the current version of the game.Dark Mode:Cleaning Game:

• Update for demo is out! - 18 December 2025

  I hope you guys are enjoying the demo!I added a new Dark Mode! Select the toggle switch on the bottom left corner to enable it!Dark mode has been tweaked to be just dark enough for a challenge!Bug fixes, some things needed to be addressed.The main background has changed. I feel that a light blue background would be easier on the eyes.Here soon the art on the steam page will better reflect the demo in its current state!If there are any features you want added to the game, please let me know, and I'll see if I can add them!
