- Conductor's Log 13: Unlucky For Some - 17 September 2026
Hello Everyone!Welcome to this week's conductors log, our 13th, which as you may know, is unlucky for some...Conductor's Log 13: Unlucky For SomeI looked over the stores and decided it was time. We’d gathered enough rations that food, for the time being at least, wasn’t going to be a problem. I told Driver to set the train to a safe speed, and gathered everyone in the Expedition Wagon.I told them that by now, it was fairly obvious that, for the time being at least, we were on our own, and that the 5 of us, though clearly a scrappy bunch, weren’t going to be able to survive indefinitely, that running the train, which was essentially our world at this point, was going to take more than we’ve got to give. The time had come to add to our numbers. As we’d crossed the small bit of the moon we’d covered so far, we’ve seen the cryopods we all arrived in scattered throughout certain facilities,…

- Conductor’s Log 12: Breaking It Down - 10 September 2026
Hello Everyone!Welcome to another of our Conductor's Logs, where Brains has a brilliant idea which helps make our hero's glider collect iso like never before!Conductor’s Log 12: Breaking it DownEveryone headed to the storage car, storing all the loot we’d grabbed, while Brains babbled on about making something to break down some of the items we’d found, as they were sure they could be turned into something useful.I should have known that meant none of us would be sleeping any time soon.Brains emptied half the storage car onto the floor and began sorting everything into piles: damaged weapons, broken components, and pieces of robots I hadn’t realised they had collected.Shooter picked up what looked like a broken robot and raised an eyebrow.“It might be useful,” Brains said before he could ask.“It tried to kill us.”“So did most of this.”After gathering the required materials from storage,…
- Engine Room Dev Update 0.3.0 - 8 September 2026
Hello Everyone! Welcome to this week's Engine Room Dev Log, for the 0.3.0 Patch! This weeks patch rebalances late-game loot rarity and the regeneration rate of the enemy shiels was slowed down, which we felt was a bit quick before, and this now scale with shield size. It also has changes to world generation so you’ll find more Facilities close to the tracks in late game (you’ll need to explore a bit on older saves to get the new facilities to generate, but it will work!)So far in Early Access, we’ve received so much feedback about what you all do and don’t like in EverRail, and it’s already shaping the game, and will continue to do so. We read all your ideas, all your feedback and every bug report, so please keep sending them and we’ll keep working! You can see more about our upcoming plans here: EverRail - Development RoadmapHere’s this week’s Patch Notes:New: Upgradable Glider Iso Col…
- Conductor’s Log 11: Eleven Minutes - 3 September 2026
Hello Everyone!Welcome to another of our Conductor's Logs, where our heroes try to raid another Facility - this one a train station, only this time, they've actually prepared properly.Conductor’s Log 11: Eleven MinutesDriver had managed to stop the train so perfectly that when our boots hit the station, we were covered from most sides by crates and a shelter, giving us cover from the myriad of robots patrolling the station. I watched one, pacing back and forth in the snow, and wondered, as I often had over the last couple of weeks, what on Earth (or Inara, I guess) had gotten into them, and why the machines which had meant to prepare the world for our arrival before becoming our helpers, our servants and our guards had turned on us so completely. I shook my head, now was the worst time to be thinking about anything other than what was in front of us, and I started to pay proper attentio…

- We’re Part Of Steam’s PVE Survival Crafting Fest! - 31 August 2026
Hello Everyone! As part of this week’s Steam PVE Survival Crafting Fest we’re discounting EverRail by 20%, so if you haven’t joined us in the Tracklands yet, now’s the perfect time to join us! We’re also launching an event for you all to take part in, and the chance to win a unique prize which money literally cannot buy!The HoarderSo, in this event, we’re going to be asking you to hoard two things, as much as you humanly can! Rations and Scrap. All of them. The winner will be the person who, at the end of the event when you upload your saves, has the most Rations and the most Scrap in storage on their train. FairnessNow, I can just imagine you thinking “wait, how can this be fair, people will just play with the settings to make the game easier and increase the spawn rate of the rations!” Well my imaginary straw man, you’re quite right, they would, which is why we’re providing you a save…
- Conductor’s Log 10: Learning From Failure - 28 August 2026
Hello Everyone!Welcome to this week's Conductors log, where our heroes choose their next destination, work out hot soup and set up the fast travel system...Conductor’s Log 10: Learning From FailureWe grabbed another couple of wagons over the next few hours, before we decided to narrow down our options when it came to the first facility to raid on the loop. We narrowed it down to two choices - a heavily defended station, which promised a huge number of rations, or a facility slightly further down the loop, which scans had suggested would have a number of passengers we could rescue. We argued for what seemed like hours, and in the end, they all looked to me for a final decision. I came to the conclusion that, before we had even more mouths to feed, we would first need the supplies to do so, and so I made the decision that we’d aim for the station first.Driver, who’d been in favour of goin…

- Conductor's Log: Day 9 - 20 August 2026
Hello Everyone!Welcome to this week's Conductors Log, wherein our heroes expand the train and modify their glider to be piloted directly by Eyes...Conductor's Log: Day 9The next morning I woke on my bunk, and found I was the last to rise. The train was humming along, but the sound of the engine had become so much background noise, something as normal as the sound of the breeze, or of birdsong. It was just…. there, and its absence would be terrifying.I got up and wandered to the front of the train to grab some rations, knocking on the cockpit and saying good morning to Driver, asking where the others were. They told me to go to the glider cabin, explaining that Brains and Eyes had been going on about the Glider, and a way to deal with the latency issues we’d had while controlling it.When I walked into the Glider cabin, I arrived to a scene of chaos, tools strewn everywhere haphazardly on…

- Conductors Log Day 8: Aegis Activation - 13 August 2026
Hello Everyone!Welcome back to the Conductors Log! This week our passengers finally find the train horn, and the train's Aegis shield comes in handy when the track ahead is blocked.Conductors Log Day 8: Aegis ActivationLooking at everyone's faces, and with the weight of Gunner and Pilot's death still resting on my shoulders, I've decided we're not ready for the tunnel. Not yet. So, for now, the loop it is. At least until we've got some better gear for everyone, and maybe the guts to brave the greater unknown. Brains delivered on their promise faster than I expected. The EMP pistol sat on the workbench, ugly and cobbled together from a random pistol barrel that was lying around and some spare bolts, but Brains swore up and down it would knock the shield off any turret we ran into. Though they weren't sure how long. And I wanted to – no. Needed to believe them. Driver on the other hand, h…
- We've Released Hotfix 0.2.6.1! - 12 August 2026
Hello Everyone! We’ve just released a small hotfix which properly applies the new hunger settings to older save games, as they didn’t apply properly with yesterday’s patch release. Please do keep giving us feedback on the hunger system, as well as ration distribution, as we want to make sure it’s a balance we’re all happy with!As well as that, the Bullet Train and Glider will now be selectable for everyone who bought EverRail before yesterday (August 11th), so when you start a new game, you’ll be able to use them from now on! Patch Notes:Properly applied 0.2.6 changes to hunger to save files created before 0.2.6Made the Bullet Train and Glider selectable for players who purchased EverRail before August 11th.And that’s everything for this little fix! We’ll be back on Tuesday with our normal weekly patch! Thank you to everyone who reported this to us so promptly, please keep the bug report…
- Engine Room Dev Update 0.2.6 - 11 August 2026
Hello Everyone!Welcome to this week’s Engine Room Dev Update, where we’ll be taking you through our 0.2.6 Patch, which introduces the train’s horn to the game, both as something the driver can use, but also as an automatic warning when the train’s battery starts to get too low! Alongside that, we’ve rebalanced our storage once more, ensuring that larger storage solutions are at least as efficient as building the smaller ones. We’d also like to talk a little about our plans for the near future - there’s more detail on everything we’re about to cover on our Trello, which you can find here: https://trello.com/b/0MIQ3LJ6/everrail-development-roadmapAlongside the weekly bug fixes, in the coming patches we plan on introducing an FOV slider, items which will automatically feed your character when using the glider and driving the train, introducing proper ADS iron sight aiming, the ability to re…
- Hotfix 0.2.5.1 Is Out Now! - 5 August 2026
Hello Everyone! We’ve just released a hotfix for EverRail, which fixes an issue we’ve seen players running into where having an item in your exosuit toolbelt which improved stats caused several issues. Here’s the detail: Fixed an issue which caused several problems when you had an item equipped to the exosuit toolbelt which improved stats on the exosuit, causing the following: If you just loaded the save game the vitals would show default rather than the correct amount. If you exited the train the vitals would show correctly but your health was reduced back to 100 If you went to a healing station it did not heal you full health That’s everything for this hotfix, we’ll be back with a bigger update on Tuesday next week! As always, we want to thank you all for all the feedback and reports, please keep sending them, either on Steam in our discussion threads, on our Discord, or using the F2…
