  • Beta 0.5.2: Demo update! - 18 September 2026

Heya! The demo has been out for a bit longer than a month now, so an update was due. QuestsI've introduced questing into the game with the latest version. All quests are currently optional, but some are marked as main story line while others are entirely procedurally generated based specifically on your run. Currently there are 6 quests already built into the game.Demo updateDemo is now updated to contain all bug fixes and improvements that went into beta, as well as some some extra content to make your demo runs a bit more interesting. I've added an additional boss and several quests.Share your feedback and get the game for freeThe demo also comes with a raffle! You only need to beat the demo to participate. By doing so you'll be shown a code. Go into discord, fill the feedback form, and send over the code to enter a raffle for a free copy of the game!Changelog# Beta 0.5.2 - Latest bui…

  • Beta 0.5.0: Character selection, stranger bosses, and more build variety - 10 September 2026

Build 0.5.0 is ready in the playtesting branch with new ways to shape your character and more trouble waiting in the depths.Crowded depthsI've added three additional bosses to the dungeon roster, which you will find randomly through the run. Boss rooms also appear more often from depth 3 onward.Hunters eventually begin stalking every biome, so going deeper should now feel a little less predictable and considerably less safe. There's also new enemies hidden in the walls, so be careful where you go near by.Choose your callingCharacter selection is now in, alongside new grafts and mutations: Lycanthropy, Debauchery, Reverse Engineering, Efficient Retrofit, Mnemonic Parasite, ... and much more.Survive out of scrapsI've added new recipes to craft different survival items out from disassembling junk or other items you may no longer need. Craft rudimentary ammo, chemical batteries, and acid amp…

  • Beta 0.4.7: Electric synergies, new mutations, and clearer combat - 21 August 2026

Two builds landed since the last update, bringing new gear and dungeon mechanics alongside a fairly chunky round of interface polish.Shock, chemicals, and sabotageFive new electric and chemical weapons are now in, together with electric synergies. Automated turrets can also be sabotaged if you have the skills. The dungeon keeps getting strangerDigestive World and Abyssal Darkness can now reshape biomes, while Scar Tissue and Pathogenic Organic Mines adds new mutation options. There is also a new Nullification Therapy Injector for when your current condition needs a drastic change.Enemies are easier to readEnemies now display icons for their intended actions, and hovering over statuses shows a tooltip with more details. Stairs, inspection controls, tutorials, and safe-zone NPCs have also received clearer contextual information.Small things that add upAnti-venom now provides temporary pois…

  • Beta 0.4.5: Bug fixes, QoL improvements, achievements, and cloud saves - 13 August 2026

Demo was released 2 weeks ago, so it is time for a patch to include general improvements as well as some demo-specific items. A lot of this came straight from your bug reports and feedback, so keep them coming!Feedback is always welcome, if you want to poke around early builds come and join Discord: https://discord.gg/VKSgsWA4GWImprovements around inspection and item interactionI got some bug reports/feedback from you folksFixed: Attempt to pick it up but inventory is full, make room in inventory, then pressing space on the same tile just says "There is nothing here."Fixed: I can pick up items from anywhere on the screen by right-clicking on them, and don't actually have to be on or near the tile.Fixed: There is not a keyboard key to inspect tiles / bring up a context menu like I can do with the mouse right-click, that would be very useful. Now the F key does that, of course is re-binda…

  • Beta 0.4.4: New NPCS, ranged weapons that use your blood as ammo, and more - 7 August 2026

Thanks everybody for playing the demo! This has been live only one week, but hundreds of you already played. Very much appreciated.Initial feedback and bug reports are being worked on, for now I only pushed a new patch to the demo that was deadlocking folks with their default language in Spanish or Japanese, so I considered this one critical:Beta 0.4.2 - Fix: Starting the game in Spanish or Japanese by default sometimes wouldn't boot it fully. The rest of changes are currently sitting in dev-experimental branch for testing, and will stay there for a week or two before moving them to the demo and full game builds. If you want to give it a go, come and join discord for playtesting access! ScoreboardsYou're putting my runs to shame, I'm nowhere to be seen in the first 10 spots and beating my score just took a few days 😂The scoreboard in game is still a bit finicky, as Steam takes quite a w…

  • Ad Iterum demo is out now! - 31 July 2026

After eight months of development, Demo is OUT now! Collapsing floors, gas vents, toxic traps, alarms that call the whole floor down on you, and corpses that were rigged to explode. Fire spreads. Oil ignites. Deep water hides things... the dungeon wants you dead. Enemies roll their own modifiers: Berserk, Poisonous, Elite, Infested, Oversized, Immortal... the same creature is never quite the same fight twice. Some explode when they die, others keep spawning foes until you deal with the source, while others will try to steal your gear and run away.Eat your enemies or find mutagens that reshape your body and the run: Phase through defenses, grow claws or quills, photosynthesize instead of eating, sprout a third eye... some are gifts, some are curses, most are both. You can also craft, and cook (you should probably cook, raw meat is always risky). What's in the Demo?1 dungeon with 1 procedur…

  • Beta 0.3.6 v2 content pass: Luck, new bosses, new enemies, and new items - 16 July 2026

Beta 0.3.6 brought a starting point for endgame, multiple mutations, cloud saves, and endings unlocked, now the full patch is deployed in dev-experimental:Luck is a real stat now:Luck used to be a background number, but not anymore. Not only sharpens your dodge and critical chances in combat, but affects multiple game system as well.New bosses, and enemies:Eight new enemies and two new bosses have moved in, so the deeper floors bite harder than they used to. The quarantine depths have gained some new trap mechanics.New itemsImmunosuppressants, lucky eggs, and other new and unique items can be found. These could alter the run significantly.QoL improvementsSmall fixes and improvements here and there, like in-game bug reporting (no browser pop-ups), mouse clicks work again in Terminals and Vaults, and general stabilization overall.Public beta testing is permanently closed now, as we approa…

  • Milestone reached! Demo coming up at the end of the month. - 7 July 2026

Milestone reached: DemoThe demo content is locked, and will come out at the end of July (it was initially planned for this week, but life got in the way and that won't be possible), so I scheduled for the end of the month.I also made a new trailer to announce the milestone!Last public play testIf you've been meaning to try Ad Iterum while it is still changing fast, now is a good time. I'm mostly looking for rough edges: unclear UI, weird balance spikes, confusing systems, crashes, broken builds, all the usual things that only show up once you folks play:Why last? After the demo is out, all play testing will be done exclusively in private through discord, as will make no sense to have both demo and play test out through steam. While the demo is locked out to the first dungeon/biome only, the play test generally contains the full scope of the game, or very specific builds when something n…

  • Beta 0.3.6 - Endgame: Multiple mutations, cloud saves, and endings unlocked. - 26 June 2026

While the beta 3 play test was running, I kept working on the next milestone. Public demo is getting closer, so keep an eye open.Endings unlockedThe game had no ending! ... till now. Two of the game's endings are now actually reachable, if you've been wondering what's at the end of the run, now's a good time to push for it in the dev-experimental branch. Your decisions matter.Progress that sticksSaves now carry across versions. No more losing settings and progress every time I push a new build. This was intentional, not only because of the permadeath system and roguelike nature of the game, but so I had plenty of room to experiment without having to deal with early messy data migrations. There's also a "reset data" option in settings if you ever want a clean slate on purpose.Stuff to swing, eat, and avoidBig gear pass: four new weapons, armor pieces, and random items like spider eggs an…

Play test is currently open in the main page:Feedback is always welcome! Come and join Discord in order to play early builds and participate in the game development: https://discord.gg/VKSgsWA4GW

  • Preparing for Beta 3: New biomes, superior weapons, and double the content. - 5 June 2026

The world keeps growingTwo more biomes have opened up, on top of the acid pools added a couple of weeks ago. The deeper you push, the stranger things get. Sharper weapons, nastier companySuperior weapons are now a thing you can find out there, and you will need to defeat the new enemies that joined the roster in the Quarantined Depths. There are places you haven't seen yetYou may find secret rooms scattered around, these are not necessary for progress, but may contain nice treasure... or a nasty surprise.Careful who you trustBlood pacts are more extreme now, if you choose to accept them.Small things that add upStatus effects got proper icons, new memories show a "!" indicator until you read them, world NPCs do the same, multi-turn heavy weapon kills no longer leave a stuck waiting icon, cooking in environmental fire works again, traps grey out when disabled, blood pact UI fits 3 pacts pr…

  • Ad Iterum Beta 2 on GameEffect Showcase 2026 - 28 May 2026

Beta 2 has been up for playtesting for a couple of weeks now and I've started to address the feedback, heading to Beta 3.The game also has been featured in GameEffect Showcase 2026!Quarantined Depths, and new Blood PactsA new boss is waiting for you, along with new creatures lurking in the Quarantined Depths. And if you're the type to make deals you'll regret, there are new Blood Pacts on offer too. Power always has a price.Gear with teethA whole wave of affixes landed: Parasitic, Thorns, Ward, Brutal, Reflective, Glass, Reinforced, and more. Every one is a trade-off: heal on kill but bleed out over time, hit like a truck but shred your weapon, see further but get spotted easier. Broken gear is now properly inert, so you'll feel it when your favourite blade gives out.Cooking actually cooks nowA couple of things around food were broken. Eating corpses straight off the floor now properly…

  • 0.1.11: Tier 1 Dungeons are here, and do not play nice. - 7 May 2026

Big week! I've added the Tier 1 dungeons with 3 new biomes. These are entirely different than the beginning of the game, or what I'd call Tier 0. New challenges, new gear, and more progress that unlocks the first half of the game towards 1.0 release.New dungeons are accessibleNew biome-specific terrain hazards, tougher enemies, and environmental dangers around every corner. Old and unstable tech that has new ways to punish you... the good news is the loot matches the danger, so you're not fighting acid-spitting horrors with a crude pipe wrench anymore :DNew gearYou're going to need better equipment to keep up as well, with two new armor affixes available: Insulated and Sealed, that should help you survive the new depths.Visually, equipment finally looks like actual equipment, armor and weapons now render their specific piece on your character instead of generic sprite blobs. It took me…

  • 0.1.6: Heavy slams, tooltips, and new strangers - 30 April 2026

First chunky update since Beta 1! Here's what's new:Heavy weapons finally feel heavyThis was bothering me for a while. Swinging a massive two-hander and having it just... tap a single tile felt wrong. Heavy weapons now attack in area and slam patterns. Wide swings, ground pounds, the kind of thing that should make you feel powerful and also a little reckless. There's someone new thereSome new strangers, and unsavoury characters have shown up. They might be worth talking to.The UI got a lot of attentionA few things that have been quietly frustrating got fixed in this update:The Status screen was redesigned, is not quite there yet but now it actually tells you clearly what's affecting you. Tooltips landed across the board adding some additional context to the items or enemies you find through the world.Small things that add upCured meat stacks as a single type instead of clogging up your…

Weapons on floor 1 will appear more often while you're unarmed. No more starting a run empty-handed. About this game

Ad Iterum is a turn-based dungeon crawler set in a decaying, ever-shifting world. Flesh is fragile, but you can hack it. Enhance your body, embrace mutations, or seal ancient blood pacts. Descend into the depths, scavenge what’s left of humanity, and crawl back alive...if you can. Kill. Die. Repeat. Devour your enemies to gain powerful mutations. Twist your body with new strengths, senses, and abilities... but every gift comes with a cost. Descend through layers of shifting ruins, hostile biomes, and forgotten machinery. Unstable environments reveal new threats, hidden chambers, and rare mutations waiting to be claimed. Every descent is a gamble: press on for power, or turn back before the depths consume you. Every choice shapes your run, and your survival. The mutations you accept, the gear you carry, the shortcuts you take, and the risks you embrace. Even small decisions can cascade into major consequences, creating unique builds, unexpected synergies, or fatal flaws. There are no safe paths. Procedurally generated world combined with hand-crafted content. Dynamic character development without grinding. Dozens of unstable mutagens to change your abilities. Devour enemy corpses to evolve. Multiple biomes with distinct hazards, and environmental effects. Accumulate knowledge across multiple runs. Dozens of entities, each with unique behaviour within the ecosystem. Each with multiple potential modifier traits. Melee, and ranged combat. 200+ unknown items to discover. Permadeath, Adventure, and Daily Run modes. Keyboard, mouse support, and full controller support. Fully localized Frequent Asked Questions How much RNG is in the game? Deeply integrated. In some runs you will overpower your enemies easily, will some others will work against you in every step of the way. Life is unfair, so is Ad Iterum. Does it run at 60 FPS? Yes. Does it support 4K / Ultra-wide monitors? Yes. Can I remap controls? Yes. Will there be achievements? Yes.

Steam marketplace comparison data

Price History Overview

USD uses SteamPulse's own locally recorded daily store snapshots, so this overview reflects the exact regional price history that SteamPulse has captured for this currency.

Coverage And Tracking Window

  • Snapshots: 1
  • Coverage: Sep 25, 2026 to Sep 25, 2026
  • Lowest observed: $0.00
  • Highest observed: $0.00

Ad Iterum's USD price history spans from Sep 25, 2026 to Sep 25, 2026, with 1 recorded snapshot across 1 calendar day. Each row records the available final price, listed base price, and discount metadata for that observation. Within this coverage the lowest recorded price is $0.00, the highest is $0.00, and the first visible tracked price is $0.00. These comparisons apply only to the snapshots SteamPulse holds; missing observations can contain changes that are not represented here.

For USD, SteamPulse uses locally captured regional storefront snapshots and does not reconstruct older prices with exchange-rate conversion. The chart and table show the values recorded for this exact currency from the stated coverage start. Additional snapshots extend that record, but they do not fill unobserved days or prove what the storefront displayed between observations.

Discount Windows And Sale Timing

  • Discount windows: 0
  • Discounted days: 0 days
  • Deepest markdown: No discount tracked
  • Latest sale window: No sale window tracked

Ad Iterum's tracked USD rows do not contain a discount window. This means no available snapshot in the stated coverage has usable discount metadata; it does not prove that the game was never discounted. Missing snapshots or archived rows without complete metadata can hide a sale, so SteamPulse does not infer pricing strategy from this absence.

If a later snapshot includes discount metadata, it will appear here with its recorded depth, price, date, and sale name when available. Until then, this section should be read only as a description of the available rows, not as evidence about the publisher's promotion policy.

Observed Price Changes And Stable Runs

  • Observed price drops: 0
  • Observed price rises: 0
  • Longest stable run: 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking
  • Current run: 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking

Outside rows carrying discount metadata, the tracked price has not recorded a separate price rise or drop yet. That means the observed undiscounted level has stayed stable across the snapshots SteamPulse currently holds. This is a statement about the recorded coverage only; it does not prove that an older or missing price change never happened.

The longest unchanged price stretch in the current record lasts 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking at $0.00, from Sep 25, 2026 through Sep 25, 2026. Among rows without discount metadata, the longest unchanged run lasts 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking at $0.00. The latest run records $0.00 for 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking as the same recorded undiscounted price. Run lengths describe consecutive stored observations only and do not establish that a price is permanent.

Latest Snapshot And Sales Context

  • Current price: $0.00
  • Current list price: $0.00
  • Distinct observed prices: 1
  • Source mode: SteamPulse local tracking

The latest tracked snapshot records Ad Iterum at $0.00 in USD, with no active discount metadata. Across the available history SteamPulse has recorded 1 distinct final price in this currency. This supports comparisons with the lowest, highest, and most common values present in the retained record, subject to the stated coverage limits.

The live sales view and Steam sales record provide calendar context for these dates. A date overlap can be compared with a named Steam event, but it does not prove why a publisher changed a price. As new daily rows arrive, this overview recalculates its observed prices, discount windows, and run lengths automatically.
