Emanuel & Eric here👋We’ve been busy in the past weeks with polishing our demo, received great feedback from our playtesters and today we’re delighted to share our digital baby with all of you - go download it now if you haven’t already!Here is our brandnew trailer that gives you a better sense of what Monarchs at Play is all about: The demo itself will give a taste of what’s to come in the main game - you’ll be able to play full 4X matches that take only 60 minutes each. There’s 3 tutorial missions/an optional guided playthrough, classic mode with procedurally generated maps and a challenge mode with 3 handcrafted missions to compete for your personal and the global highscore. • First Playtest Recap - 4 May 2026

  Hey Monarchs,our first closed playtest has officially come to an end and we just want to say: thank you.Seeing players jump in, experiment with strategies, and push the limits of what we thought was possible has been incredible.Playtest in numbersWhat Went WrongDuring the playtest, a D3D12-related issue caused big problems for some players.This likely affected session length and overall experience. The issue has now been fixed and will not be present in the next playtest :)Community & CoverageWe were lucky to see the game featured by creators like Nookrium and Writing Bull, a huge honor for us as a small indie team. We also welcomed a handful of new Discord members, who are already helping shape the game with valuable feedback.Next PlaytestThe next playtest is not far away.
