Dear Chefs! You asked, we delivered. There's a bunch of new changes for your convenience: Dumpling Mastery. Every dumpling you fold by hand counts toward mastering its base. The higher your mastery, the better your auto-cooking comes out and the bigger the tips. One thing we would rather say than have you find out: this does not change how stars are awarded while you cook. Steps are graded exactly as before. Mastery is about what happens when you let the kitchen handle it. Dumplings have names. "Pierogi (Beef)" instead of "Variant A". Variant A is gone and will not be missed. Foa's Save Fund. Out of money, out of ingredients, out of crops, all at once? Foa sends a care package by email. Email attachments also work properly now, which they should have done from the start. Rev has a spare canister. Roll home on an empty tank and he turns up with fuel. No more being stranded by your own opโฆ

- The Sound of Dumplings - 13 August 2026
Hey Chefs! Last time we introduced you to Patryk Scelina, the composer behind the Foxy Dumplings soundtrack. Today we're back with something special - new music has arrived in the kitchen, and this time it carries the sound of our home. Lisa's story begins with her grandma's dumpling recipe - and the new music has roots of its own. When Patryk sat down to write these tracks, he reached for Chopin: some of the piano parts directly reference his music. But there's a twist - the rhythm draws from the hip-hop and jazz beats you might know from the work of Shinichirล Watanabe, the director behind Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. Classical Polish piano meets lo-fi groove - and somehow, it feels right at home in the kitchen. You'll hear these tracks as you stroll through Amberfield โ the first town on Lisa's journey. - The Recipe That Rewrote a Mechanic - 7 August 2026
Hey Chefs! ๐ฆ If you read our "Why These Dumplings?" post, you might've noticed one line we dropped without much explanation: "Cho Muang - we genuinely could not believe this recipe existed when we first found it. It ended up inspiring an entirely new game mechanic." A few of you asked what that actually meant. Fair - we were vague on purpose, because honestly, we didn't expect it to become a whole story. But it did, so here it is. First, the recipe If you've never seen Cho Muang: it's a Thai dumpling, steamed, shaped by hand into a little flower, and it's purple. Not food-coloring purple. The dough gets its color from butterfly pea flowers steeped in water. That's it. You take a flower, you make tea out of it, you knead the tea into the dough, and suddenly you have a dumpling that looks like it grew in a garden. When we found this, the conversation in our team chat went roughly: "wait,โฆ
- Same Dough, Different Rules - 30 July 2026
Pierogi, varenyky, knedle. If you haven't spent much time in Eastern European kitchens, these three probably read as one thing: dough, filling, boil. They're really not. Pierogi Lisa grew up on these. Grandma's recipe, which means it's the correct recipe and we don't take questions. Thin, stretchy dough - flour, water, egg - rolled out and pinched shut into a half-moon. Get the seal wrong and your filling goes swimming and you're left holding an empty pocket. Sweet or savory, this is the one you'll end up messing with most in-game. Varenyky People call them "Ukrainian pierogi" and then stop there, which is a shame, because the dough is noticeably thicker and that changes the whole bite. The edge isn't a flat pinch either. It's folded over into a ruffle, almost a little braid running down the seam, and it takes a few tries before yours stop looking like a crime scene. They're bigger, tooโฆ

Hey Chefs! If you've spent some time in Amberfield, chances are you've already heard our music - the relaxing, cozy tunes that follow you around the kitchen. We thought it's about time to introduce the person behind it. We're happy to officially introduce Patryk Scelina, the composer behind the Foxy Dumplings soundtrack. Patryk is a Polish composer with over a decade of experience creating music for video games, film, and TV. You might know his work from titles like Kao the Kangaroo, GORD, My Memory of Us, or Mouse: P.I. For Hire. His music has also found its way into Netflix productions and TV documentaries worldwide through his collaboration with BMG Production Music. On top of all that, he runs Sonic Atoms - his own sample library studio and official Steinberg partner. - Why These Dumplings? - 18 June 2026
When we set out to make a game about dumplings, we knew we were stepping into something enormous. We started with research - proper, deep research. We went through dozens of recipes from over 50 countries, explored cultural heritage organizations, official culinary institutions, and recipe archives from top chefs representing their home cuisines. From that pool, we narrowed things down to nearly 40 truly distinctive tastes from around the world. Where possible, we sourced original, authentic recipes. Some needed a vegan adaptation. Some needed small adjustments to work within the logic of a game. But before anything made it into Foxy Dumplings, we cooked it ourselves. Because you can't fall in love with a recipe on paper alone. Our demo just received a big update, and whether you've already played it or haven't tried it yet, now is a great time to jump in. We've been listening to your feedback, squashing bugs, and reworking some systems that weren't quite hitting the right balance.
