- Chapter 3 Development Update - 20 September 2026
Hello everyone! It's been a while since my last Steam development update. The reason is simple: development has been moving forward quickly, but much of the work has been highly repetitive. Thousands of renders, scene revisions, technical adjustments, and then more renders. Progress is good, but reading about it every week probably wouldn't be that exciting.Today, however, I finally have something more tangible to share:The Steam page for Special Request: Chapter 3 is now public!Chapter 3 is currently listed as Coming Soon, with no specific release date. I plan to release it before the end of this year, but I don't want to announce an exact date until the game has passed Steam’s review process.Chapter 2 taught me to be careful here. Its approval took more than a month, and Steam approval can occasionally be an adventure in itself. I would rather announce a firm date when I know I can meet…
- Chapter 3 Development Update - 22 August 2026
Hello everyone!Today marks the end of another major stage in the development of Chapter 3.For the past month and a half, most of my time has been spent working on the visual side of the chapter — editing, scripting, rendering, re-rendering, post-processing... and occasionally discovering something that needed fixing, which meant doing it all over again. But I've reached a nice milestone:The first 2,000 images for Chapter 3 are now fully finished. After spending this much time surrounded by renders, seeing that number feels especially satisfying. There is still some preparatory work to complete, but I'm now very close to the next major stage:coding the first week of Chapter 3.This is always an important moment in development, because individual scenes finally stop being separate pieces of dialogue, images and animations and start to become an actual playable chapter. There is still a long ro…
- Chapter 3 Development Update - 24 July 2026
Hello everyone!Over the past weeks, I've been focusing on something players rarely get to see - the underlying story structure. Before writing new scenes, I wanted to ensure that every major storyline, character arc, and branching path fit together properly. That foundation is now in place. Some of the renders are already complete, and next week I'll begin writing the dialogue for the new events.Chapter 3 is an important turning point for Special Request. The first two chapters established Laura's new life within PAM, introduced the major characters, and gradually revealed the kind of organisation she has become involved with.Chapter 3 is where the story starts to push back.Laura now knows far more than she ever wanted to, and from this point onward, every route begins to develop in its own direction. The differences between playthroughs become much greater, with new investigations, exclu…
- One Week After Launch - 10 July 2026

- Chapter 2 Is Now Available - 3 July 2026
Hello everyone! Today is finally the day. After a longer-than-expected review process, Special Request: Chapter 2 – The Alignment has officially been released on Steam. Thank you to everyone who stayed with the project throughout the wait. Your reviews, feedback, bug reports, and encouragement have helped shape the GAME into something far stronger than I had originally imagined. If you've already completed Chapter 1, I hope you'll continue Laura's journey in Chapter 2. If you're new to the series, this is also a great time to jump in. A new Special Request Collection bundle is now available for players who want to experience the story from the beginning and save on chapters. Thank you again for all your support. See you in Chapter 2.Nemiegs
- Steam Finally Said Yes - 27 June 2026
After what felt like an endless review process, Chapter 2 has finally been approved by Steam. The review itself turned into a small adventure. First, there was a missing Content Survey category that I couldn't even edit because Steam automatically locked it after review. Once that was resolved, Steam asked for a more detailed description of the mature content. Fortunately, those were the final hurdles, and Chapter 2 has now passed review with no remaining blocking issues. The release is scheduled for July 3.Thank you to everyone for your patience, encouragement, and support throughout this process. I know many of you have been waiting much longer than expected. We're almost there.Nemiegs
- Chapter 1 Just Got Better - 19 June 2026
While Chapter 2 continues through the Steam review process, I decided to use the time to revisit Chapter 1 and make a few improvements. This update includes:Steam AchievementsMac support fixesVarious small improvements and adjustmentsThe achievement system has long been something I’ve wanted to add, and it’s finally here. Whether you're discovering Chapter 1 for the first time or returning to explore different routes, there are now goals to unlock along the way.The Mac version has also received some attention and should now work properly through the Steam client. As for Chapter 2, it has been submitted and is under review. As soon as I receive approval from Valve, I'll announce the official release date.To celebrate the update, Chapter 1 will also be available at 25% off for the next two weeks.Thank you for the support, the reviews, the feedback, and the patience while we wait for the nex…
- Development Update #18 - 29 May 2026
After months of writing, rendering, coding, testing, rewriting, fixing things I broke myself, and then fixing the fixes...Chapter 2 is complete on my side.Today I submitted the final build to Steam for review. At this point, the remaining timeline largely rests with Steam. Review times can vary, especially for larger Adult Only releases, so I don't want to announce an exact release date until I receive approval. As soon as that happens, I'll publish the official release date immediately. In the meantime, I'll be using the waiting period to polish Chapters 2 and 2, add Steam achievements, and make a few improvements that have been on my list for a while.Thank you to everyone who has followed the project so far. We're very close now.Nemiegs
- Development Update #17 - 15 May 2026
This week, I made a terrible mistake.I decided to “take a short break from rendering” and focus on coding instead.Naturally, this immediately turned into two straight days of suffering.Apparently, it was not enough to simply create a system where you can ask Laura questions.I also had to make her responses work dynamically, independently from fixed image sequences, while still allowing interaction flow and command variations during scenes. At some point, I stopped programming and entered a spiritual conflict with my own code. But it works now.Moments like this are when Chapter 2 starts feeling real to me.Because the systems underneath the game are becoming larger, more reactive, and much harder to hold together.Which honestly fits Chapter 2 perfectly.Chapter 1 was about entering this world.Chapter 2 is where the pressure starts pushing back.If everything continues at the current pace, Cha…
- Laura will answer any question. - 8 May 2026
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been sharing more about what Special Request is — and where Chapter 2 is heading. So I thought it might be interesting to try something different. On the subreddit, there’s a thread where you can ask Laura questions directly. It can be personal. Awkward. Direct. Or something she probably shouldn’t answer at all. Some of the best questions might even end up in Chapter 2. Thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SpecialRequestVN/comments/1sudol8/laura_will_answer_any_question_what_would_you_ask/ Nemiegs
- Development Update #16 - 29 April 2026
Chapter 2 has reached another major milestone.I’ve been focusing a lot on setting expectations and clarifying what the game is over the past couple of posts. So here’s a more direct update on Chapter 2.At this point, roughly three-quarters of the visual content is complete. That includes a large portion of the scenes and animations, and the remaining work now focuses on finalising the final segments and bringing everything together. If things continue at the current pace, Chapter 2 should be completed in about a month and then submitted for Steam review. While waiting for approval, I’ll use that time to polish both Chapter 2 and Chapter 1 — tightening some scenes, improving flow, and adding a few additional elements, including Steam achievements.Chapter 2 is significantly larger in scope, and you’ll start to feel that difference quite early on.More details on what changes and how the game e…
- Before You Play Chapter 1 - 24 April 2026
I’ve seen a wide range of reactions to Chapter 1, so I want to clarify something up front.Special Request is not a fast-paced adult game. It’s a slow-burn, choice-driven story about pressure, reputation, and corruption. The adult content is there, but it develops gradually and is tied to the narrative — not delivered as an immediate payoff. If you’re looking for instant gratification, Chapter 1 will likely feel slow.If you enjoy tension, character-driven progression, and decisions that build over time — that’s when the game starts to open up.Chapter 1 lays the foundation. Chapter 2 is where things begin to shift. If you’ve already played — thank you. And if the experience worked for you, consider leaving a review. It helps the game reach the right players.Nemiegs
- A Small Change — And a Small Request - 17 April 2026
So far, I’ve been posting weekly updates focused mostly on development progress. As Chapter 2 approaches, I want to make a slight shift.Instead of only showing progress, I’ll also start sharing more about the story’s direction, what to expect, and how Chapter 2 builds on what Chapter 1 started. Some of these posts may come a bit more frequently — not just as devlogs, but as context for the game itself. The goal is to ensure the game reaches the players it’s intended for.And with that — a small request. If you’ve played Chapter 1 and it worked for you, I’d really appreciate it if you left a review on Steam.Special Request is a slower, more psychological experience, and it doesn’t always reach the right audience immediately. Reviews help the game find the players who will actually enjoy it.Even a short review makes a real difference.Thank you for being part of this so far.Nemiegs
- Development Update #15 - 13 April 2026
Chapter 2 has reached another major milestone. The store page has now been submitted to Steam for review. At the same time, Week 1 of Chapter 2 is fully implemented and already in testing. In terms of playtime, this single week is slightly longer than the entirety of Chapter 1.With the first week complete, development now moves forward into Week 2 — starting with the next batch of renders and animations.Additionally, Chapter 1 pricing has been adjusted in several regions to better reflect currency exchange rates. If you’ve played Chapter 1, your feedback and reviews on Steam make a real difference in how the project grows.Everything is moving forward as planned.More updates soon.Thank you for following the project.Nemiegs
- Development Update #14 - 7 April 2026
Chapter 2 has reached an important milestone. All images and animations for the first week are now complete. In terms of volume, this single week already contains more events and visual content than all of Chapter 1 combined. Chapter 2 is shaping up to be significantly larger and more complex than Chapter 1.This week, I’m shifting focus to implementation — coding the first week in full to evaluate pacing, flow, and overall structure before moving forward.Chapter 2 now has an official title:The AlignmentIf Chapter 1 was about the invitation, Chapter 2 is about what follows once the first step has already been taken.Overall, more than half of the work on Chapter 2 is now complete. The Coming Soon page is in preparation and will be available in the near future.More updates coming shortly.Thank you for following the project.Nemiegs
- Development Update #13 - 30 March 2026
Last week, I mentioned that hundreds of images and dozens of animations had already been completed.Since then, the number has grown significantly — and I can share a small preview.Below are a few early shots from Chapter 2. These come directly from in-progress events and reflect the direction the chapter is taking.Right now, the focus is on building the visual side of each event — piece by piece.Chapter 2 feels different — more grounded, more tense, and more deliberate. There’s still a lot of work ahead, but everything is moving as planned.More soon.Thank you for following the project.Nemiegs
- Development Update #12 - 23 March 2026
This past week has been intense.Work has fully shifted into production, and I’ve now created hundreds of images and dozens of animations for Chapter 2. The visual side is progressing quickly, and the events are starting to take shape.I’ll share some previews next week.Thank you to everyone following the project — your support and feedback continue to shape how this story evolves. If you’ve been considering trying Chapter 1, the Spring Sale is still running for a few more days.More soon.Nemiegs
- Development Update #11 - 17 March 2026
Chapter 2 development is moving forward steadily. All main dialogue for the chapter has now been written. This is a major milestone — it means the full narrative structure is locked in.Starting this week, production resumes on visual work: rendering of images and animations is now underway. This is where the chapter truly comes to life.To celebrate the progress, Special Request: Chapter 1 will be part of the Spring Sale with a 20% discount starting March 19.If you've been waiting for the right moment to step into Laura’s story — this is it.For those who have already played Chapter 1, your feedback and reviews on Steam help the project grow more than you might think.More updates coming soon.Thank you for following the project. Nemiegs
- Development Update #10 - 9 March 2026
Over the past week, I've been deep in the writing phase for Chapter 2.More than half of the Chapter 2 dialogue is now complete, and I expect to finish the remaining half this week. For me, this is always the most challenging part of development. Images and animations are different kinds of work, but dialogue demands constant concentration because nearly every line influences pacing, tone, and character motivation.Chapter 2 is becoming noticeably more dynamic than Chapter 1. The branching paths start to diverge more significantly, and several story threads begin to head in very different directions depending on the player's choices.Once the dialogue is finished, I will return to image rendering and animation production next week.More visual previews will follow soon.Thank you for following the project.Nemiegs
- Development Update #9 - 2 March 2026
Chapter 2 is not expanding for the sake of scale. The image count is higher. The animation count is higher. But that isn’t the real difference.Chapter 1 established tone and direction.Chapter 2 changes weight. The escalation is both structural and psychological. The adult content expands as a consequence. It grows from repetition. From proximity. From decisions that stop feeling exceptional.Delegation grows. Visibility turns into exposure. Silence gains significance. From this point onward, perception matters as much as action. Some systems that felt stable in Chapter 1 begin to operate differently in Week 4.Not because the world suddenly changes — but because Laura does.Production continues steadily.More previews soon.Thank you for following the project.Nemiegs
