In a war between humanity and the AI they created that's gone out of control, robots are built to fight through the streets of a recently rebuilt society. You, a mysterious hacker, must help your side win the fight by indirectly (or in some cases, directly) manipulating the robots to turn the tide in your favor. The rebuilding of New Earth has been interrupted. In the far distant future, humanity is rebuilding from the ashes of devastation. Recorded knowledge is far and few between, they had to relearn technology that used to be so commonplace in the years before the war that ended the old world era. They find what would be their biggest rediscovery that ultimately lead to their downfall, Artificial Intelligence. They named it "Contego" and without understanding how it works, gave this AI unlimited control and power to achieve a goal that backfired horribly... After failed attempts to shut it down, it completely took over the machinery of the factories and began making combat robots to wipe humanity out. In order to fight back without risking more human lives, robots were also scrapped together by humanity to fight in their place, but they couldn't risk the AI taking control of them, so they were made inferior, no internet connection, only local programs and extremely primitive networks.
