But this is no ordinary world. It’s a living forest filled with intricate puzzles , colorful citizens , and stories inspired by Anishinaabe tales and traditions . Meet Miskwaa , an Ojibwe girl from the city! After falling asleep in the woods, she finds herself lost in a forest full of helpful animals and spirits. To reunite with her grandmother, she'll need to brush up on her Ojibwemowin and examine what it means to be traditional in a modern world. Engaging Point-and-Click Gameplay : Explore beautifully rendered scenes, find hidden clues, and solve satisfying puzzles. You'll need wit and curiosity to help Miskwaa navigate this world and reunite with her family. It’s more than an adventure! Reclaim! is part of a growing movement to revitalize the Ojibwe language. Fully voice-acted in Ojibwe by elders and immersion school graduates and teachers, experience the beauty of Ojibwe language, customs, and oral tradition as you journey deeper into the woods and help Miskwaa reclaim her identity. Reclaim! was built through community-based design workshops with the Lac Courte Oreilles band of Ojibwe by a core team of indigenous creatives, including art leads (Renee Nejo - Helskate , Josh Herron - Bob's Burgers ) from Coahuiltecan and Kumeyaay Nations, with Lakota and Ojibwe Elders serving as game advisors. Reclaim! is focused on reframing education and interrupting the colonial narrative by being the first game completely playable in the indigenous language, Ojibwemowin. Our mission: demonstrate the depth of knowledge within indigenous languages and to prove these languages are vibrant and strong!
