Hi! We're happy to announce that you can now play Super Arcade Football on your Steam Deck. Thank you so much for letting us know that this was important to you. Since we started working on the Steam Deck we totally fell in love with this machine. The fact that runs on Linux is a bonus and the general feeling really brings us back to the Amiga days. Besides, we find that the Mod music by Barry Leitch sounds great on the stereo speakers! We didn't want to use emulation, to make the most of the Steam Deck so, in order to make the game work, we ported our custom engine in C to Linux. And since this is the first time we release something on Linux, we would appreciate it if you would consider this a beta and we'd be gratefull for your feedback; and do let us know if there's anything that doesn't behave as it should and we'll be happy to fix it. Hi SAF Friends, We hope you've been enjoying SAF since its release on Steam and the Nintendo Switch. To add to that, we're proud to announce that Super Arcade Football is now available on macOS! Thanks to all Mac users for their patience while we've been porting the game. Anyone who owns SAF can download it right now on their Mac. The macOS version of the game includes all features available on other platforms, as well as a dynamically resizable game window. All macOS versions from 10.15 onwards are supported. Dear Super Arcade Friends, I could not be more excited about this update to our favourite arcade football game. We're finally giving (early) access to the Story Mode! Along with that, we're thrilled to announce a collaboration with Barry Leitch, who has created an original soundtrack just for Super Arcade Football. For the few people that are not familiar with Barry, he has composed many iconic tunes for games, since the 8 and 16-bit days. Among those, Lotus 2, Super Cars 2 and, more recently, the great Horizon Chase Turbo. Barry is not new to football games, having fathered the soundtrack of titles such as Emlyn Hughes international soccer (C64), Kickoff (NES), Microprose soccer (Amiga/ST/Amstrad/Spectrum), Soccer Tycoon (Facebook), Championship Manager (PC) and European Champions (Amiga). Dear SAF Friends, It's been a few weeks since the last update and we've not been resting on our laurels. We've got a ton of new features for you to enjoy. I'm happy to announce that we've added support for injuries. So make sure you don't get tackled too much or your players might be taken out. We've also added the following optional modifiers: Nets (small / regular / large) Injuries (on / off) Game Speed (slow / regular / fast) Sleepy Keeper (on / off) Looser Ball (on / off) Oil (on / off) Mud (on / off) Turbo Objects (on / off) You can now come up with some crazy combinations! Many of those modifiers can now be found on the preset tournaments as well. Happy New Year everyone, We're happy to kick off 2021 with a massive update for your favourite early access football game on Steam. Here's what's new: Team Management You can now change tactic and formation before or during a match. Custom and Preset Tournaments The game now includes support for leagues, knockouts and mixed tournaments. Have fun competing in one of the 18 preset tournaments or create your own. Select play from the main menu and then choose between quick match, preset or custom tournaments. New Teams We've also added a lot of new national and club teams and improved gameplay and AI. Dear Super Arcade Football friends, We're happy to present to you SAF version 0.707. We've made several improvements to the game and also added new options for the end of the game. You can now choose to play extra time with or without penalty shoot-outs or golden goal. Also, bobbies now have a shadow as well (thanks Hexaae for pointing that out) and they now look at the crowd (well, most of the time...).
