  Hey folks! Following a live demo event at Q-Con Belfast, we are excited to bring you the first demo for Dreamer's Canal onto Steam! This post is going to cover more details on the game and what to expect:Brief HistoryDreamer's Canal was initially a game built for the GMTK Summer Game Jam, based on the theme "Loop". The idea was for a merchant to travel along a magical looping canal in a fantasy setting, buying and selling items to flip a profit and make enough money on each loop to survive. The game is built by 3 devs - Meavelus (artist), SiliconDioxide (lead designer, QA) and me - Crabstaway (programmer, producer, marketing, etc.) The inspiration was to create a game with a cosy atmosphere similar to Townseek but with gameplay elements of a traditional roguelike and a theme of "You can't stay in one place forever, so make the most of it while you can."
