  *Demonsoul 2: The Fight for Freedom* is the second installment in the series, continuing Marek's adventure. The story takes place on the island of Vandenris, specifically within the penal colony located in the valley. Marek has been betrayed by the King, afflicted with a "Mistletoe Curse," and transported to the Vandenris penal colony as a prisoner.
