Remember back in the 90s and 00s when you’d get demo discs? Maybe they came free with your favourite gaming magazine, or were hidden inside a box of cereal. They were great. This is the modern version of that idea. Cambell’s Oddity Box is a collection of fun, self-contained experiences. Games, experimental input methods, unusual menu designs, and other strange little ideas all live together in one place. The collection will be continually updated, with new Oddities added as they are ready. Keep an eye out for Easter eggs and collectables. Discover something interesting in one game and it might unlock something new in another. Find a gold block in one Oddity and you could unlock an alternate skin somewhere else. Each experience, referred to as an Oddity, is accessed through the main menu. The main menu can always be reached by pressing the Start button or the ESC key. Beyond that, all bets are off. Every Oddity has its own design language, art style, rules, and game play mechanics. Most games support controller or mouse and keyboard input. Some may even allow interaction through the Cambell’s Oddity Box companion app. (To be released at a later date) Warning: Many of these games will be severely broken, unfinished, hardly even games.
