  • Programmable Factories: one design, multiple outputs - 4 August 2026

Hi everyone!Last time, we explored multiple-level nested factories. Today, let's take a look at how factory programming works and how the same factory design can be reused to produce cubes of different sizes. One factory design, multiple outputs!Programmable factoriesIn this example, the same factory can produce cubes of different sizes using parameters. Here's the design of the Cube Factory: LoopsFor each dimension, a loop keeps expanding the shape until it reaches the target size, allowing the factory to scale automatically based on the parameter values.ConditionsHere's how you can customize a condition to inspect the length of your shape. In this example, we're using a variable instead of a static value. You can also use the Formula mode for even more control over the value:VariablesTo use variables, you first define them in your Nested Factory configuration panel. These variables are th…

  • Building factories within factories... - 30 June 2026

Hi everyone!Last time, we saw how to build a simple Splitter factory. This time, let's take a look at nested factories across multiple levels.Since factories can be encapsulated into reusable modules and placed inside other nested factories, you can build factories across multiple levels, opening up countless design possibilities. In this exemple, we built a factory that assembles the input shapes into cubes. Here are the different nesting levels of this factory:You can watch the full creation process here:Next time, we'll take a look at programmable factories and see how a single factory design can produce many different outputs.Closed playtests are getting closerIf you'd like to be among the first to try Fractal Foundry, you can register here:■ Sign up for the Playtest

  • Nested Factories - 21 May 2026

Hi everyone! It’s been a little over a month since Fractal Foundry was announced. While waiting for the playtests, here is a small look at how nested factories work.In this example, we create a simple Splitter factory that takes one input flow and distributes it across four outputs. Here is the creation process of the nested factory:You can watch the full video here:Factories can be encapsulated into reusable modules and placed inside larger factories, allowing production systems to scale recursively.Future updates will showcase factories nested across multiple levels. If you'd like to follow development more closely and see new features early, feel free to join the Discord community:■ Join the Discord

  • One Week After Announcement - 4,000+ Wishlists! - 21 April 2026
