- Unexpected Server Issues - 12 April 2025
Dear players, Huge thanks for continuing to play Spellweaver long after I was unable to continue supporting it! Due to a change in the interface to the Steam API, I need to make changes to the Spellweaver server code, rebuild and redeploy the servers. While I'm working on this, please be patient, as I need to dig up some old code, apply the required changes, and rebuild everything from scratch. Thanks for your support and understanding! Hello dear friends, It has been ages since the last update from me. I was going through some hard times with my family during the pandemic years. I won’t go into details, however if you are curious you can see the updates in the Spellweaver Discord. For a while, I kept my hopes up that I would be able to keep working on Spellweaver. I tried renewing my efforts a couple of times, however each time I felt I was so much behind with my plans for the game that I quickly lost motivation. I was no longer able to look at Spellweaver’s future with optimism. It’s now time to admit that for the time being, there will be no updates for Spellweaver. Although I still hope I can once again return to it someday. EXCEPT! Our new 15-card package was just released! As always, these are all high-impact cards that will change the decks that are played. But this is only one reason to start playing once again. Six More Reasons to Play Now 1. Change of game direction towards creatures and combat. All cards you once probably hated - Cataclysm, Fireball, Burning Rage, Nightmare Stallion, etc. are now radically changed. Decks that were a pain to play against, such as Cataclysm Control, Rage Rush, Decay, Reanimator, and one turn combos, are largely gone. During the last couple of months, we have been too silent. But that was because we were working hard on a huge amount of features and improvements for Spellweaver! Here is what you might have missed if you haven't been playing for awhile. Abundant Rewards and New Features Part 1 – New Rewards! We added achievement rewards, increased rewards from quests, and made Rare/Epic quests appear regularly. If you have some completed achievements, hop on and claim your rewards now. Achievement rewards can are worth up to 20 packs combined! Part 2 – New Features! We have redone or improved large parts of the UI, we added global chat, and we released 8 new cards in January. We now also guarantee Epic and Heroic card drops after a certain number of packs you open.
