Linsips, a retro arcade puzzle game, will be available for free on Steam starting March 17, 2026.As a free game, the solo developer asks for the community's patience and understanding. There may be bugs, rough edges, and difficulty balancing issues in the initial release. These will be addressed and improved over time through updates. All feedback, bug reports, and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
- All levels complete, almost there! - 18 February 2026
Hey everyone!Quick dev update: all 20 levels of Linsips are now fully designed and playable! What's left? I'm currently working on the OPL3 FM synth soundtrack (because no DOS-era experience is complete without that authentic sound) and polishing a few remaining details to make sure everything feels just right. The finish line is in sight. Stay tuned, and if you haven't yet, add Linsips to your wishlist so you don't miss launch day!
- Welcome to Linsips! - 5 February 2026
This is our first dev update, thanks for following along!Linsips is a puzzle game about placing two lines to split the screen into four quadrants and distribute bouncing balls equally. Simple concept, but the levels are designed to make you think before you click.Where we are right now:7 levels are done and playable, each introducing a new twist on the core mechanic. The main menu, level select, and all core systems are in place. What's coming next:Music: I'm composing the soundtrack using Furnace, a tracker targeting the OPL3 FM synthesis chip. OPL3 isn't as commonly heard as its older sibling OPL2, the one behind the iconic sound of MS-DOS games, but it's a more capable chip, and I think it'll be a great fit for the game's vibe.More levels: I'm aiming for 20 in total.Stay tuned! More updates soon!
