Hey folks, November is fast approaching so here's another update on the road to release. I dedicated the last month primarily to making changes to the Shop Management portion of the game. Customer Mode, which allows you to enjoy the game strictly as a visual novel, is something I implemented the day before release. Now that those who aren't interested in the shop system aren't "forced" to engage with it, I can make it more robust for those who do enjoy it.Here's a brief preview of those changes:The Apothecary has now been added to the Enterprise system, where you can now purchase upgrades that increase batch limits, minimum output, and maximum output.The Forge has also been added to the Enterprise system, allowing you to further upgrade the daily weapon limit, and increase the odds of discovering Relics when crafting Masterwork weapons.Four new powerful Relics have been added and some j…

Hey folks, just wanted to check in now that a month has passed and let you know how things are progressing toward the roadmap. Right now, 2 of 6 faction quests have been completed and we're still on track for a November Chapter 3 release. This chapter is a bit more complex than the previous two because we finally start getting into game-wide branching, where, based on your decisions, some characters may disappear entirely.On the shop management side of things, look forward to these new features, which may evolve or be adjusted before the next release.Selecting known recipes directly from the Apothecary UI instead of having to look them up in the Recipe Ledger.A "Repeat" button for Ashura, Rocinante, and Tyra that will repeat the previous day's selections.Expanded shop UI screen for better visibility.This will be an expanding list as we get closer to the November release. - Early Access to Full Launch Roadmap - 9 July 2026
Hey folks, with Whispering Ledger launching into Early Access a week from now, today I wanted to cover what to expect as we make our way to the Full Launch.Early Access will launch with Chapter 2 of the story, which will include 3 story parts, 6 faction quests, new shop events, in-game achievements, perks, the enterprise system, weekly boons, and three brand new vendors (tied to story progression).The full release is expected to conclude the main story at Chapter 5, with each faction maxed out at Rank 5. Along the way there will be new vendors, systems, achievements, shop events, and enterprise opportunities.For Steam, the release cadence will be on a Chapter-by-Chapter basis, which means after the launch on July 16th, there will be 3 major updates until the Full Launch, which I expect to be complete by July 2027, a year after next week's launch.Along this journey, I'll be listening to…

Hey folks, the demo is now up for the foreseeable future! The demo includes the entirety of Chapter 1, and you should be able to carry over all of your progress into the paid release next month. There is still more work to be done but I hope you'll enjoy it. Thank you for your patience!
- Temporary Demo Removal - 19 May 2026
Hey folks, now that we're less than a month away from the Steam NextFest, we'll be taking the demo down for a bit until roughly a week before the festivities begin. When it returns, you'll be treated to a brand new user interface, the entirety of Chapter 1 and all Rank 1 Faction Quests, new systems such as the loan system, donation system, and reputation systems, bonus images unlocked throughout the story, and a plethora of updated renders.Because of all the changes, the new demo will use a new save configuration, thus requiring a new playthrough, but progress from the new demo will be able to be carried over into the full release.Thank you for your patience!

Howdy! We now have an official Early Access release date of July 2nd, 2026! Players will get to enjoy an updated demo for the Steam Next Fest starting June 15th, complete with new features, characters, quality enhancements, and the entirety of Chapter 1. This data should seamlessly carry over into the full release a few weeks later. The demo will remain up indefinitely so you can make an informed purchase decision if you do decide to buy the full game. Please look forward to it!
