- Most Maps Feel Fake — Here’s Why Ours Doesn’t - 13 April 2026
SlumCity isn’t just a map. It’s been growing with every game we’ve made.It started in Slums Chess, expanded in Urban Defense, took shape in Hauler… and now in Slums: DriveBy, it’s finally alive. Each district tells a different story. The suburbs are clean and controlled. The slums are broken — incomplete fences, dirt-covered roads, trash scattered everywhere.Even the business district isn’t perfect. Tall residential buildings mixed with businesses — crowded, slightly off, but real.We didn’t aim for a “perfect city.” We wanted a volatile atmosphere — a place that feels unstable, alive, and unpredictable. This is SlumCity. And it will keep evolving. What area stood out to you the most?
- And today in our "you reported, we fixed" corner! - 9 April 2026
A player has reported to us, that he jumped into the water, and has to restart the game... which obviously we couldnt understand why would he jump to the water but.. the hell with that!so we already have an "unstuck" button... but the everyday player doesnt necessarily has the patience to check how to unstuck himself once he is actually stuck... so he simply exits the game angrily. so we brought the solution to the players face! : as the game recognizes you falling down infinitely, it knows to pull up a prompt telling you exactly what to do in order to get back on solid ground. stay tuned for more news!

- We've added an option to play with health regeneration - 2 March 2026
up until now, the was only one way to restore health in Slums: DriveBy. Recently, some of our testers have mentioned that after a succesful job, where they suffered some damage- a walk home to restore health is tedious, and they would love it if they could have their health restored in outside, and they could immedietly continue to the next fight.what we implemented is a health regeneration systems that restores health while being idle: so, now you can fight, take as much damage as you want, finish the fight, wait a few seconds, let your health restore- and go on to the next fight.Obviously, we have kept the option to leave the health regeneration disabled if you like the game to be more immersive.Stay tuned, Urban Bear Studios.
