• New King’s Wood Playtest Now Live! - 26 August 2026

  Hey everyone, we're super excited to share 3 big pieces of news with you!First up, in preparation for the demo launch, we've kicked off a new playtest today!The King’s Wood Playtest is much bigger than the previous combat playtest. It’s basically the first steps on your journey and in the broader world of A Short Quest. You’ll fight bandits, explore the King’s Wood, meet NPCs, cook recipes, loot weapons, wield magic, level up specializations, and more. Next up, we were featured at the Future Games Show at Gamescom. Check it out: To access the playtest, just click the link on the Steam page and you’ll automatically get in. The most important part to us is getting your feedback! The best way to do that is to join our Discord server and fill out the playtest survey. And finally, we’ve signed on with a publisher. • The Arena Closes - 11 August 2026

  A Hermit, clearly exhausted from a long journey, arrives at the arena, carrying a note. It reads:"By order of his Majesty's Grace, the arena shall be closed in no more than 7 days' time"You heard it... The current version of the playtest, and with it the arena, is being taken down in one week, on the 18th of August.We've been hard at work building the game and will have a big announcement coming at the end of the month. • We're part of the Baltic Showcase 2026! - 15 June 2026

  We're pleased announce that A Short Quest is part of the Baltic Showcase 2026! We'll also be attending DevGamm Gdansk on June 18th. If you're attending the event, check out our booth and be one of the first people to playtest the Demo, we'd love to get your feedback! If you're not in Poland on June 18th, worry not! We're hard at work on the demo for A Short Quest, and it'll be available to play later this Summer. In the meantime, check out the other great games in the Baltic Showcase and we'll have more updates soon. Appreciate you guys!
