- Status Update – Aug/Sept - 1 September 2026
A few months have gone by, and so I thought it was about time for an update on how development is going. And I’m happy to say that development is moving along just fine: Since beta-testing begun around the time of the game's announcement, it has received hundreds of fixes and improvements based on player feedback. And while there's still lots of things on my to-do list, it's getting there…Twofold Tower became content-complete about a year ago. And since then, my aim has been to let it remain that way, and instead focus on polishing what is already there. And with one major exception – a new late-game level called Rainbow, which takes the parallel dimension mechanic to its logical conclusion – I've largely managed to do so. Though I find myself increasingly looking forward to the release of the game, if for no other reason than being able to let my creativity flow free again.A screenshot…
- Twofold Tower: Prologue (1.1.0) - 24 May 2026
A new update for Twofold Tower: Prologue just went live, with a number of quality of life improvements and bug fixes – thank you all for the feedback and suggestions! Most importantly, it addresses the number one complaint received so far, namely having to hold down the movement input to transition between areas. Which has been replaced with double tapping to move between areas – with the old behaviour still being available from the options. Here’s the full list of changes:Adds double tapping as the default way to move between areas. The "area traversal" input now cancels on moves that would kill you.Adds a line of dialogue about how to progress dialogues.Fixes a bug causing certain UI elements to flicker.Fixes a display issue related to scroll scrolling.Further improvements to mouse navigation in menus.Tweaks the text highlight colour.
- Twofold Tower: Prologue (1.0.5) - 22 May 2026

In particular:Area exit delay duration can now be adjusted in the options. An "area lock" input has been added. The "confirm" input (enter) can now be used to progress dialogues and close scrolls.
- Twofold Tower: Prologue just launched! - 21 May 2026
The demo for Twofold Tower just launched! Twofold Tower: Prologue takes place before the events of the main game, and offers unique puzzles, story beats, and music.Mad Science and Monster Manoeuvring: Shift between dimensions, and sidestep undead skeletons – then juggle both at once! Not Just a Tutorial: The later puzzles in the prologue are not kidding around, providing a taste of what the full game has to offer.Deliberate Problem-Solving: Fully grid- and turn-based gameplay, with a particular focus on outside-the-box thinking.Unique Worldbuilding: Twofold Tower is set in the ruins of a broken fantasy world, where rationalism clashes with mysticism, and the truth is ever-elusive…The launch is in preparation for the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase, where the Twofold Tower will be participating. I hope you enjoy it!
- My Strange Game Development Journey - 18 February 2026
The internet is full of stories of people quitting their day job to make games full-time; I am not one of them, having left society behind long before becoming a game developer. To make my life story short: Having always been a misfit, I was eventually offered a spare room in the woods by friends and family, in which I've been living a frugal and secluded life ever since. Not surprisingly then, I have no work experience related to game development. And in terms of higher education, I am not technically a high-school dropout on account of never having started it in the first place. However, I have been able to devote a lot of time to self-study, resulting in my becoming a decently well-rounded jack of all trades – with the first few years as a hermit having been spent honing or teaching myself many of the skills needed to make video games, such as programming, pixel art, music-making, and…
