- Version 1.002 update - Controller fix, layout change - 7 September 2026
Hey All! Two small updates to start your week with: Fix: Stuck Hold Input when Playing with Controller Some of you have pointed out a mysterious issue when playing with a controller, but with your awesome detective work I finally managed to track it down! Apparently under two very specific circumstances (adding bluetooth input mid game, and/or using a wired controller connection) the hold input could get stuck. This update should take care of this issue and hopefully you can experience Beat Vector in its full glory using your favourite controller! Change: Level Selector Layout Changes From now on the artist name will be displayed directly below the track title so as to provide all the credit they deserve! That is all for now hope you have a good time and as always: ping me if something is cheeky and I will jump right on it! Thanks again for your input!! All yours, Sled

Hey hey everyone time for the first update since the release!Quick shoutout to everyone new and old who have gotten Beat Vector since the release, it has been an intense week and you guys have been nothing but supportive all throughout. The reviews were insanely kind from you, can't believe that we are rolling live and that all of you have came along for the ride! Some of you have given some great feedback throughout the week so I tried to incorporate as much as I could to make Beat Vector even easier to play with and also to make editing a bit more comfortable. So let's go through everything that changed:Main Updates1 - The Accuracy Bar Early / Late feedback has been a topic brought on by the community for a while so I wanted to offer a solution that is not only useful but also fits the general design of the game. The accuracy bar that until now lived in the top left corner and only disp…
- It's Release Day! - 17 August 2026
Hey All!Today is the Big Day, Beat Vector is releasing tonight 19:00 CEST, so I just wanted to leave a few words for y'all:First of all I wanted to say a giant thank you to the discord community for your continuous feedback, you guys have been a big part of turning Beat Vector into what it is today.Working on this as a solo dev hasn't been easy but you guys always kept me pushing it a bit more and for that I am forever thankful. If you find any bugs, cheeky glitches or whatnot, do let me know and I will jump on it straight away so that you can continue enjoying Beat Vector as soon as possible. If you are the type of person who likes experimenting, I also included the level editor that I used for creating the levels across the game. I tried to make it as user friendly as I could, but given that ultimately it is a dev tool it has its own quirks. Nevertheless I tried compiling a little guide…
- Modifier Bonuses! - 5 August 2026
A long awaited request was to give a bit more meaning to the modifiers and to assign a score bonus to each of them. Well, today is the day that happens! From now on, modifiers will apply the following score bonuses upon completion of a track:Multikey: +10% SmallNote: +5% FullCombo: +2% SpeedyMode +5%The bonuses are added to your base score at the end of the level. You can view these numbers at the modifier panel in the level selector when preparing your round.Your grade and timing/angle percentages remain unaffected by the modifier bonuses. You will see an itemized list of all the bonuses you have acquired via the modifiers at the end of your run where the performance grade appearsSome additional UI changes were made to the modifier panel to make scrolling among them a smoother experience for those using a controller.Good luck on the leaderboard!
- Speedy modifier! - 3 August 2026
Upon popular demand, a new gameplay modifier "Speedy mode" has been added!Speedy mode adds a bit of extra spice by turning up the song to a 1.25x speed to give you a bit of extra challenge for tracks that you already know well! You can apply speedy mode under the "modifiers" and as always, completing a song with the modifier will award you the speedy badge on the leaderboard!Good luck and hope you have fun!
- Chart and Tutorial Adjustments - 25 July 2026
Hey all, just wanted to push a tiny patch to get the demo in sync with the changes I am making in preparation for the release in the full version. You will notice some tiny adjustments in:1, The charts for the demo levels got a few tiny adjustments. Probably the most prominent one will be Bread. After slowing down the song to 0.25 x and listening to it a few times I realized the underlying wub pattern is out of sync, hope the new one will feel more intuitive and closer to the actual wub wubs. I also ended up splitting Stone cold into two at the end. turns out there is a subtle tempo switch (about 3 bpm) towards the end. This was an area that a lot of you have mentioned earlier that just "doesn't quite feel right". While it is swingy and messy as swing supposed to be this should still feel closer to the actual beats even if the underlying song has a bit of a "tempo sneaking" under it.2,…

There is still a lot more button mashi…
