The Door at the End of the Hall Steam news
The Door at the End of the Hall news collects recent Steam feed items, update posts, and announcements that SteamPulse can associate with this app.
Latest Steam announcements
- v1.6.0 - 24 July 2026
Anomaly Finder Mode can now be started right from the main menu. By default, this is disabled until the main game has been completed at least once. But a new Settings option has been added to manually enable it before then (or if you've already beaten the main game before this option was available). After it is enabled, a new + button will be present next to the normal Start button. Clicking the + will start the game directly into Anomaly Finder Mode.
- v1.5.3 - 24 July 2026
fixed an issue where un/plugging a gamepad in while the game is running might crash the game disabled mouse hiding when gamepad input is detected in menus (some gamepads apparently send ghost inputs which was making the mouse almost unusable in menus for some players)
- 1.5.2 - 24 July 2026
Fixed a couple of issues regarding the controls panel on the left side of the screen. It should now correctly show the most recently used device's inputs, rather than default to a gamepad if one is detected.
- Content complete! - 30 April 2026
As of v1.4.0, the game is now content complete! I have added 50 anomalies to find and fixed all major bugs and annoyances that have been reported by play testers.I may release some patches if I find or tweak things going forward, but the game is essentially 100% done at this point. With that, I have updated the Steam art assets to something I like a bit more, and hopefully more indicative of the type of game this is (anomaly finder, not a strict horror game). Finally, and most importantly, I have officially set the release date to July 20th 2026. So in less than 3 months from now, the game will be out in the wild! I'm excited to get this out there for people to enjoy.
- Update 1.2.0 - Now with Hints! - 13 April 2026
I've received some feedback that some anomalies are a bit too subtle or unclear. To address this, I've updated the instructions text that can be found in the game by reading the note left on the table, and I've introduced a new Hints system. It's fairly simple, but now in any hallway you can pause the game and choose the Hints button (or press H to quick jump to that view). From there you will be able to reveal some bits of information about the current anomaly. Reveal just a little to get you going, or all of it if you need a bigger hint.I hope this allows players to experience all of the content to its fullest.
- Demo now available! - 10 April 2026
The demo version of The Door at the End of the Hall is now available to download! You can get it for free right here: The demo contains 15 anomalies to find and a unique ending from the main game.In the final game I'm aiming to have ~50 anomalies total (currently up to 43). Don't forget to wishlist it to be notified when it releases later this year!
