• Demo Update #2: Improved Controller Support - 16 June 2026

  Hey everyone, We've got exciting news! We've just released the second update for the demo, which includes various fixes and much improved controller support. This update adds proper controller navigation across all the UI interfaces, along with controller prompts for all input actions, so it should be a much smoother experience overall.   Thank you so much to everyone who has played the Fields of Aaru demo, wishlisted, reviewed, reported issues, shared feedback, or supported us. Every wishlist, review, comment, and bug report is very much appreciated! We've been working hard on a set of fixes and improvements for the demo since it launched just a few days ago, and we're happy to have the first patch out now! The update includes new safer first-run graphics defaults, a reduced texture quality option for lower-end systems and integrated GPUs, several crash fixes, clearer task instructions and resource tooltips, easier early fruit gathering, more reciprocity rewards from NPC tasks, and more. Here are the notes for the latest fixes and improvements!   Hey everyone! We're super excited to announce that the Fields of Aaru demo is officially live on Steam! You can watch the official demo launch trailer here:In the Fields of Aaru demo, you'll be able to explore the early areas along the Nile. Settle into Aaru, meet the villagers, and begin restoring the town. Farm, fish, and gather resources. Plant your first crops, fish along the riverbanks, and start building up your home in the afterlife. Help restore the village. Complete tasks for villagers, repair what has been left broken, and begin bringing life back to the settlement. Meet the local wildlife. Spot flamingos along the Nile and venture into the desert to encounter more animals beyond the village.
