    We have several improvements in the beta branch Tile frames are now saved in your compositions Tiles frames are now stored per mode (Canvas vs Grid) There's a bug fix for when you use a Compact tile and try to shuffle The action bar no longer gets hidden by the tile list Added one click bring to front and center back for the tile list (tiles already had this) Pins in canvas mode are now visible I'm still looking to add more improvements in the coming weeks.   • Beta Updates - Canvas Mode Fixes - 29 April 2026

    A new version is available in the in the BETA branch. The issue with Canvas tiles not honoring the content type you select has been resolved. There are several performance improvements and random fixes behind the scenes. New Option - Steam Overlay enablement. Some of the changes were fixes to allow Steam overlay to work. Steam overlay is disabled by default. Due to the nature of the app, you will likely have content flickering when you use the Steam Overlay. However, it is now an option for users in the beta. Canvas Mode will stay in beta for a few more weeks to work through any future issues that I run into... Code to access canvas mode and the beta is gocanvasmode

  • Canvas Mode Enters Beta Branch! - 20 April 2026

    Finally, Canvas mode is available in the beta branch for you to try. Now you can freely resize video tiles in real-time, and add or remove any indivudual tile. You now have full freedom to step away from a grid structure, and truly build a media wall to your liking. In addition to Canvas mode, other fixes exist in the beta. Music Scrubber fixes Playlist save indicator improvements And a lot of behind the scenes changes To switch to the beta branch to try Canvas mode use the code "gocanvasmode" If you want to revert back to the main branch, be sure to switch back to grid view first! Beta is expected to last 4-8 weeks to iron out bugs. Know bug When new types are adding in canvas mode, they will restore prior tiles types, regardless of type specified by user. User can clear content and change tile manually for now.

    Our first patch covers a handful of minor quirks. Hidden Asset Thumbnail Fix Fixed an issue where hiding an image used as a collection thumbnail did not update the thumbnail. Layout Editor Save-As on Rename Fixed the layout editor silently overwriting your original layout when you renamed it and hit Save. Unsaved Playlist Changes Warning Creating a new playlist or switching playlists no longer silently discards your unsaved changes. Card Layout Consistency Fix Fixed a visual alignment issue in the media library grid view where image and video cards had mismatched layouts. Unrenderable Image Detection We've improved how Mosaiplay handles image files that can't be displayed by the app's renderer.
