- Npc Herbalist Decision Patch - 18 September 2026
Minor updates, mostly around the NPC decision making - Fix for improper handling of stale steam connections. THIS FIXES A CRASH that could have been seen if you join/exit a battle, on either side of the connection. - Npcs will now tend to choose cards related to their build, and favor generators when in need. - Npcs will now better attempt to defend their territory, beware. - Npcs now correctly use herbalists to harvest herbs. - Npcs now correctly use settlements to heal their units. - Status effects are now viewable in the card details menu. - Popup claim menu will now only occur when YOUR unit walks onto something to claim.

Our first improvements following Release 0.1! User Interface redesign for hover and selected unit display panel. The buttons are easier to see and use, only showing the upgrade and action selections Foreground and Background units are more clearly differentiated Using the gamepad, the left trigger toggles which unit of a stack is acting. Added a mini-picture of the card which can be selected to display the full unit details Fixed bug in which the wrong action locations could be displayed if you click quick enough Fixed popup menu locations for cards embedded in menus Added a close button to the cooldown card list menu Added new music, "With Caution". Until we get a few more songs though, they are available in the file list but not played. Don't want you to get sick of the same couple over and over again. Minor improvement to player list render speed when creating a battle.

- Improved the sprite animation efficiency to keep from bombarding the video card with hundreds of textures. This would have caused a crash on certain video card types, especially in multiplayer battles where there are many animated huts scattered around the gameboard. - Fixed a crash in multiplayer games if, while in a menu, another player disconnects - Fixed a crash in conflict resolution when undoing an attack that destroys a unit - Improvements to supporting 8 players - the 8th player was being disrespected by the engine. We are excited to announce that our early access version of Firestorm is stable ad ready for your enjoyment! Our small team has dedicated the last couple of years creating this foundational release. We look forward to filling out your decks with new units, spells, and a variety of mechanics as we go forward.This release features a complete campaign using the base 'Steel' deck following Roland, regent of Loreste, on a quest of revenge after the destruction of his home. Additionally, we have added multiplayer support for up to 8 players.
