Halls of Taurthos is a top-down, open-ended RPG set in the rugged lands of Wyrelande — a place that feels older than you, and indifferent to your story. You arrive with nothing. No direction. No expectation that you will succeed. Only a world that exists… whether you’re ready for it or not. You’ll come to know places by memory — the bend in the road where things stopped feeling safe, the treeline where something watched too long, the village where people speak in half-answers. From the quiet farms of The Longlands , to the strange heat of the Redlands , to the depths beneath the Blight Maw — Wyrelande is a world of places to uncover, not icons to follow. Pathways are not marked - they are remembered. Danger is not scaled — it’s discovered. Your safety is never certain. Discovery Over Direction Nothing is handed to you. Speak to people, and listen carefully. Piece together what matters from rumour and experience. Learn, slowly, where you should — and shouldn’t — be. Others build something slower. Both are valid. Neither is safe. Vibrant, Tactical Combat Combat in Halls of Taurthos is both tactical and skilful. Preparation of weapons, armour and magic is key. Combat rewards clever thinking and clever planning. Strong visual feedback lets you know what's happening at-a-glance. Halls of Taurthos: Reclaim in the Kingdom is currently being developed by a single developer and is in an early alpha phase. Wishlisters of the game will be invited, at various stages, into Closed Playtests, where their feedback and insight wlll be greatly valued.
