Short description

The description of the main game is as follows: Welcome to New Eastbrook In this city, no closet is without skeletons. You are James Arnold, a rookie detective assigned to investigate the assassination of New Eastbrook's mayor, Casey Ward, as well as the seemingly-connected deaths of police officers throughout the year of 2022. Every lead drags you deeper into a web of mob power, crooked cops, and corruption that will not yield. Savour a fully-voiced tumultuous detective story involving constant emotional, rarely clear-cut decisions. Search crime scenes for hidden evidence , from bloody weapons left behind to mobile phones of victims containing suspicious phone records. Piece together the evidence obtained to build an idea of what happened in each crime scene, the motives behind the crime, and who committed it. Interrogate suspects using a mix of sympathy, stone-cold neutrality, and raw aggression as needed to draw out the truth. No choice is ever clean ; the paths you take in each case will reveal what type of detective you choose to be. Bend and sometimes even break the law , lockpick your way into locked locations to uncover hidden evidence Hijack vehicles to chase leads or reach crime scenes faster Make hard choices when the law stands in the way of the truth, sometimes needing to spill blood to get closer to cleaning up the city. Engage in a gritty, melee-only souls-like combat using a vast array of weapons, from baseball bats to meat cleavers. Fight alone against the worst of the city, from thugs in a back alley to mob enforcers in a warehouse. Use a combination of timing, positioning, and bravery to defeat enemies in encounters where the odds are never in your favour. Greed is punished, timing is rewarded. Customize your character, visit the various barbers and clothing shops to change your look. Buy houses across the city and customize their interior furniture to your liking.
