WOHO! WOOOO! YAYYY! WHOOPIIIEE! SPACE ROCKETS! Woeful Woebots is finally out of Early Access and released, and I could not be happier. Two years of just me working diligently every free hour I could find in the midst of a busy life as a professional designer and father of two has resulted in this game that I am so very proud of. Sure, it might not be as deep and as advanced as the AAA games, but it's still a rock solid arcade game that I can humbly offer to the world. From the bottom of my heart comes a great big thank you to the players who gave my game a chance during the Early Access year, I am so deeply obliged to you for trusting me on this journey. It features lots of fixes and gameplay tweaks along with the BRAND NEW LEVEL: THE ROOFTOPS! - BRAND NEW LEVEL : THE ROOFTOPS! WOOO! - Exploding Barrels! The hallmark of any game worth a Dan! - Hearts Power-up! Heal your sorry bones with these! - Movement sounds added to enemies to hear them a little easier! Check out the roadmap if you want to see what's coming in the next months! Lots of gameplay tweaks and new features will be added as I ramp up to version 1.0 and finally leave Early Access :)

He's a bit slow, but he'll hunt you down eventually and SIT his gentle bootie down next to you until he EXPLODES! Teleport away before that happens! Woeful Woebots v0.4 introduces the Bomb Runner and the game now has support for Windows Mixed Reality! Also a bunch of bugs have been fixed and the Garbage Compressor level has been made more fun. Still needs a little work, but that's coming soon. Have fun!

Somewhat Significantly Important Update(tm) #3! EDIT: version 0.3.0.1 is now online with the fix for some show-stopping bugs! Brand NEW LEVEL and GAMEPLAY mode: THE GARBAGE COMPRESSOR! Fight for your survival against an evil garbage bot that wants to squish you into a flat piece of human flesh! This all-new game mode is still under construction and I am currently tweaking the gameplay here for maximal fun. New main menu room for the game's startup, select your level and get shooting in this awesome gigantic elevator taking you to the different floors. New SLOW MOTION MODE! Press the Touch pad button (Vive) / joystick down-press (Oculus) to enable slow motion mode! Shoot the bonus pickups if you run out! Adds a lot to the gameplay, and gives you strategic advantages. KNOWN BUGS : - the local scores will unfortunately have to be reset because of the new level and the new high score system…

Version 0.194 has been pushed and comes with some tasty localization for Japanese, Korean, Russian and French! Woeful Woebots is now available in arcades in Korea and France, and needed to be tweaked for that along with the language updates. Bug-fixing and keeping the project up to date with current VR tech has taken much longer than expected, but I am finally back to working on the second level and should hopefully have a decent prototype out soon.

Finally Oculus and Oculus Touch is now supported for 360 setups! Also a bunch of smaller things have been added like leaderboards at the game over screen and a bunch of little bugs have been squashed to itty bitty red splats on the coding room floor. Oh and my favorite fix; level reloading time is now massively improved! I'm currently hard at work on making the second level (The Garbage Shute), and it's coming along nicely. Not quite ready for release though, but in a few weeks it should be in a pretty decent state for prototype release:) NOTE TO OCULUS OWNERS: You will need a third tracker and a 360 setup for this game to play properly. Use with two trackers at your own risk!

I just released version 0.18, and it features Steam Leaderboards display and upload of your scores. So get shooting and see if you can take down that guy with 87k points! So all the mini-fixes are done, and now I can finally concentrate on making some new content. Very excited about the second level, it'll be in the next update in its current prototype state and I'll continue iterating on it until it's done.
