- Remain At Your Desk is part of Steam's Cyberpunk Fest (new trailer inside) - 3 August 2026
Remain At Your Desk is part of Steam's Cyberpunk Fest, running now through August 10. There's a new trailer for the occasion, and the free demo is live on this page. It's an incremental cyberpunk game where you fake work by day and hack your corrupt company at night. Steal corporate secrets and sell them, or keep them for leverage while suspicion climbs. Climb the corporate ladder, but if you push too far you could be fired...or worse.A note from your employer:"RAYND Corporation congratulates Steam on its Cyberpunk Fest. We see no resemblance between the genre's depictions of unaccountable megacorporations and our own operations. Employees are encouraged to enjoy the festival during their federally mandated break window (4 minutes). Attendance will be logged."More to come: Weird Jobs Fest in August, Programming Fest in September, Next Fest in October.Jared Crunch Moonkiss Studios
- New feature: ORIGINS RPG Choice! - 26 June 2026
Before your first shift you now fill out RAYND's personnel intake form and pick who you used to be! Three to choose from: The Lifer. Twenty years in the building, so nobody looks twice at you. You've also gone rusty at the actual hacking. The Plant. Someone planted you here with a handler and funding, so you're quick and you came in loaded. The downside is you stick out.The Debtor. RAYND owns your debt. Everything pays better, but you start in the hole and they garnish your pay until it's clear. If you've got a few minutes to try it, here's what I'm trying to figure out: 1. Does picking an origin actually feel like it matters, or is it just flavor? 2. Debtor players: was working off the debt good pressure, or did it just stall you out? 3. Anything on the intake screen that was hard to read or unclear? Thanks for testing!
- Demo Update: New Night Events, Morale Break Fix, FPS Limit Setting - 11 June 2026
Thanks to everyone who has been playing the demo and sending feedback! Night Shift- Added 7 new night events- Added 5 new interrogation questions, so audits repeat far less often- Events no longer repeat back to back. Every event in the pool now plays once before any of them can appear againMorale Break- Fixed the ball physics. The ball could pass through the paddle or clip through bricks during frame drops, especially at higher waves. Collision is now checked in smaller steps so this can no longer happen Performance- Added an FPS LIMIT setting in options: 30, 60, or 120. If your laptop runs hot, set it to 30- The game now renders at a reduced rate while the window is in the background and returns to your chosen limit when you come back. Idle progress is not affected Other- Added new CONDUIT moments in the later part of the demo- Fixed a case where CONDUIT could stay completely silent f…

- New Opening Sequence, Morale Break 2.0, and Polish Localization - 5 June 2026
A New Cold Open I've replaced the opening sequence with something that gets to the point a little faster. The game now opens with a quarterly performance report from RAYND Corporation celebrating its 47th consecutive quarter of record growth. Workforce efficiency is up. Profits are up. Everything appears to be going exactly according to plan. The goal was to bring the mystery to the front of the game instead of asking players to wait for it. Morale Break 2.0 Morale Break started life as a small distraction you could play between work assignments. The old version was essentially a brick-breaker. The new version has wave progression, power-ups, special brick types, a Morale meter that pays out guaranteed rewards, and a three-strike performance review system that replaces the old full-score reset. As you spend more time in the company's mandatory wellness program, the cracks begin to show.…
- REMAIN AT YOUR DESK Update + Programming Fest + Vietnamese Localization - 28 May 2026
Big week for REMAIN AT YOUR DESK. The game was officially accepted into Steam Programming Fest 2026 this September, alongside Cyberpunk Fest in August. Really excited to see the game connecting with both the cyberpunk crowd and the programming/systems-heavy audience at the same time. Also: Vietnamese localization has now been added to the game. Huge thank you to everyone continuing to send screenshots, bug reports, wording notes, and weird edge cases from different regions and monitor setups. A lot of this patch came directly from player feedback. Patch notes below: • Fixed bottom-row button labels getting clipped in German, Russian, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. Long translations like and now auto-scale correctly instead of wrapping into the button edge. Thanks again to the player who reported this from a 42" ultrawide setup. • Framerate is now capped at 60 FPS. The game was previou…
- REMAIN AT YOUR DESK Accepted into Steam Cyberpunk Fest 2026 - 26 May 2026
REMAIN AT YOUR DESK has officially been accepted into Steam Cyberpunk Fest 2026. As a solo developer, this honestly means a lot to me. When I started building a game about surviving inside a surveillance-heavy megacorporation, I had no idea whether the blend of incremental systems, terminal hacking, corporate paranoia, and dystopian sci-fi would resonate with people. Seeing Steam recognize the game as part of Cyberpunk Fest is a huge milestone. Since the Steam page launched in April, the response has genuinely surprised me: • 1,500+ wishlists • 10/10 positive demo reviews • Coverage from outlets in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Brazil, and beyond For anyone new to the game: REMAIN AT YOUR DESK is a cyberpunk incremental hacking game about faking productivity by day while secretly stealing from your employer by night. Build scripts, automate your workflow, hack internal systems, manage suspicion…
- The Remain At Your Desk Demo Is Live! - 19 May 2026
Hi everyone! The demo is finally live, and I'm excited to share it with you. REMAIN AT YOUR DESK is an incremental hacker about faking productivity while stealing from your corrupt employer. It runs about 35 to 50 minutes and takes you through your third promotion. There's a new announcement trailer up on the store page too. If you end up enjoying it, here's what genuinely helps me right now: -Wishlisting the full game. I know it sounds small, but for a solo dev it's the single biggest signal Steam pays attention to, and it directly shapes who else gets to see the game. -Sharing the demo with anyone you think might be into it. Friends, group chats, communities, social media. Word of mouth will be really important to the success of this demo launch. I'll keep improving and expanding the demo over the coming weeks based on what people respond to. Thanks for playing! And please: REMAIN AT…
- Remain At Your Desk Demo Releases on May 19th on Steam! - 12 May 2026
I'm excited to share that the demo will be released on Tuesday, May 19th! Everyone's been so helpful with playtest feedback in the games Discord channel (which you can and should join!) On demo release day, if you'd be so kind as to play the demo, wishlist if you haven't already but also share about the game on social media, it'd be greatly appreciated! I can't wait for you all to check it out.
- Localization update brings six new languages to REMAIN AT YOUR DESK - 29 April 2026
For the practical side of things the game now picks your system language on first launch and falls back to English whenever a key is missing, which is the safest default I could come up with for languages that get partial coverage in future updates. You can swap languages at any time from the settings menu without losing your save or your prestige history, and the switch happens immediately so you can preview the translations across different sections of the UI without restarting the game. Chinese and Japanese both render through Noto Sans fallback fonts that ship with the build, which means the terminal aesthetic still holds together even when the underlying script changes. Thanks for following this one through development, since translating a game built around cyberpunk programming vocabulary is a strange exercise that does not always have clean equivalents in other languages.
- Join the Discord & Playtest! - 26 April 2026
Join the REMAIN AT YOUR DESK discord here! I am intending to have the demo of REMAIN AT YOUR DESK on Steam in June/July ahead of Cyberpunk Fest in August. Right now I need as much feedback as I can on the current build to help make the game better. That's where you come in! Come join the discord server and help shape the future of this game!
- Leverage mechanic update: every hack is now a choice - 22 April 2026
Leverage: Every Hack Is Now a Choice For the last week I've been quietly rebuilding what happens when you complete a hack. The short version: it used to be "+N credits" and a sound effect but I've changed it so it's now a decision, and a story. The Mechanic Every hack you complete now extracts Leverage : a specific piece of corporate dirt on the target system: "The exec bathroom code is the company's founding year because of course it is." "A vote to be held on 'workforce optimization.' They didn't use 'human' once in the briefing." "The prototype works but marketing told engineers to make it worse." After each hack, you pick: LEAK : sell the dirt to the web for quick credits ARCHIVE : stash it in your Vault Collect all 4 variants of a target system's dirt, and you complete a Dossier, which is a a permanent Case File bonus that survives prestige. Each one is a permanent edge on every fu…
