Short description
Daetrix is an arcade style shmup with rhythm game elements. Shoot, dash, and shine enemies to the beat of the music, while flying off ramps and grinding on rails to avoid certain death!
About this game
SHOOT EVERYTHING. RHYTHM GAME. Put on your headphones and swallow the entire galaxy to the beat 🪇. This is a shooter and a rhythm game. The more enemies you kill, the higher your letter rank will get (full clear for S+). You take damage by getting hit by enemies or by missing beats. The color of the enemies and bullets indicates how you fight through each stage. Shoot red enemies or dash through them to kill them! You can also shoot red bullets to cancel them. Use your blue shine attack to destroy blue enemies. If you kill two at once, you get a "Perfect!" beat. Beat circles will show where you should position your ship in order to destroy two blue enemies at once. The blue shine attack also lets you reflect blue enemy bullets. Grind on rails by using shine near the rotating beat circle at the tip. The rail will automatically carry you to its end. While you're on a rail, you can rotate the ship and shoot in different directions! Go off ramps to reach new areas. While you're flying you can input directional controls to spin the ship for extra points, but make sure to land with the ship facing forward to survive! In easy and normal mode, you will see lines appear between beat circles. When you see this, it means that if your ship is inside one of the circles and you push the dash button, you will dash to the connected circle without having to input a direction for the dash. This makes getting through the rhythm sections while getting the hang of the controls much easier. In this version of the game, there are just two levels to master, but they are very hard and provide a lot of replayability on their own, if you're up for the challenge.
