- New RPG-Style Zombie Progression System - 24 September 2026
Hey survivors!I’ve been working on a new progression system to make exploring different parts of Not Quite Dead feel more rewarding and more dangerous.Zombies will now have different Levels, Names, Health, Damage and Loot rewards depending on the region you are exploring.Early-game areas will contain weaker enemies around Level 1–5, while harder regions will gradually increase in difficulty. The desert will become one of the most dangerous areas, with standard zombies reaching approximately Level 30–40.At the highest levels, zombies can reach around 6,000 HP, making late-game combat much more demanding. Why this change? The main goal is to make your equipment progression matter much more.Higher-level enemies will give more purpose to:Weapon upgradesWeapon modsStronger weaponsUpcoming higher-tier protective armorBetter preparation before entering dangerous regionsInstead of every area havi…

- 💲 Pricing Update: Not Quite Dead Will Stay at $12.99 - 17 September 2026
Hey survivors!I wanted to clarify the recent pricing changes for Not Quite Dead. After thinking about it more, I’ve decided that the game will remain at $12.99 USD.There is still a lot of work I want to do on the game, including more fixes, improvements, polishing, and new content. Because of that, I don’t think increasing the base price right now would be the right decision.Previously, regional pricing was adjusted more heavily based on the purchasing power of each country. I’ve now changed the regional pricing so the game is priced more consistently around the $12.99 USD equivalent across regions. So, to be clear:The base price of Not Quite Dead is staying at $12.99 USD.I also want to apologize for any concern or confusion I may have caused by talking about a possible price increase. That was never my intention, and after thinking it through, I believe keeping the current price while co…

Hey survivors! Here’s a first sneak peek at the new desert area currently being developed for Not Quite Dead.I’ve been working on transforming the southern part of the map into a much more distinct region with its own atmosphere, terrain, roads and points of interest. The goal is to make the Wasteland feel very different from the greener parts of the island, while still fitting naturally into the existing world. Here are a few early screenshots of the area:This area is still a work in progress, so some terrain, props, lighting and locations may still change before release.I’m continuing to improve and expand the zone, and there’s still more to come. Thanks again to everyone supporting Not Quite Dead and following the development! ❤️What do you think of the new desert direction so far?See you in the Wasteland, survivors! 🏜️
