  • v1.8.0: The Cantina - a whole arcade game just appeared in the void - 4 September 2026

I was going to build a pub. Instead, one got found. The Cantina There is a new tab under Signals from Survivor 8: the Cantina. A stray signal, a pub much older than it has any right to be, crystal growing through the hull, bottles still full, nobody home. And in the corner stands an arcade cabinet that has no business still running. It does anyway. I.D.L.E. DEFENSE The cabinet plays I.D.L.E. DEFENSE, and I want to be clear about the size of this thing: it is a full idle tower defense game living inside Lost Vessel. Seven regions that mirror the descent you already know, Crash Site Perimeter down to the Hollow. Turret tiers with evolutions at the top, a skill tree, and a mine that keeps digging while the turrets hold the line. I.D.L.E. runs the tutorial, and he has opinions about your performance. Standalone progression, saved to your account, on any device. The Offering The machine does…

  • Anomaly Runs - Full Release - 30 August 2026

The planet tore open in seven places. Time to go down. Anomaly Runs is out of beta and fully live - the biggest single update Lost Vessel has shipped. This has been months in the making, shaped directly by everyone who ran the beta and told me what felt right and what did not. Thank you. This one is yours too. What Anomaly Runs is A run-based combat mode inside the idle game. You pick one of seven rifts - one beneath each zone, down to the seventh under The Hollow - and descend a shifting map of fights, hazards, choices and questions, deciding how much to risk at every step. At the bottom of every rift, something is holding the floor. Seven rifts, three levels each. Every level pays its reward bounty exactly once, scaled to its depth. No grinding one easy floor forever - the rewards live where the danger lives. Boss arenas. All seven tier bosses fight in fully staged 2.5D arenas, each w…

  • Client Update 0.2.0 - 30 August 2026

A refreshed desktop client, shipped alongside today's 1.7.0 content update. Desktop client updated to version 0.2.0. Steam achievements that unlocked in-game but never synced to Steam (including Veteran Explorer) are delivered automatically on launch. All content changes in 1.7.0 - the full release of Anomaly Runs plus a large quality-of-life round - land server-side and are covered in the full announcement.

  • Added Safe-Mode - 24 August 2026

Hey guys, just added a quick update to the app to also include Safe-Mode for Lost Vessel. It disables hardware-GPU and renders software-side. This helps some very specific cases who otherwise have issues with the Chromium and Electron-wrapper. Thanks for playing Lost Vessel! Next content-update is close, too.

  • Company - The I.D.L.E. Companion Update - 14 August 2026

AUGUST 14, 2026 I.D.L.E. has left the room panel. If you have rebuilt him, he now floats over the station itself: drag him wherever you want him parked and he will hold that spot, bob in place, and keep you company while you work. He talks. He was always going to talk. He rambles on his own schedule, reacts to level-ups, forge results, crates and fresh finds, complains the moment the fuel runs out, leans in now and then to check what you are doing, and blinks exactly as often as a machine needs to, which is not often. Leave the station alone for a while and he falls asleep on the job. Click him for his menu: a Chatter switch if you want the company without the commentary, his skins, and a full power-down for the unsentimental. The new button in the top bar, the one shaped like his head, brings him back when you regret it. He also has a wardrobe now. Three outfits landed on the shop shel…

  • Deeper Ground - Xenoarchaeology just doubled - 14 August 2026

Xenoarchaeology just doubled. I have opened four new dig sites, one under each of the zones the first survey never touched: the Network Sump, Debris Fall, the Fracture Verge, and the Hollow Floor, which is as far down as I have mapped and further than I would go alone. Twenty new artefacts are buried out there as a second series, and they surface rarer than the first set did. That is on purpose. The deep catalogue is meant to be a long walk. The deep boards also read twice. Some cells carry a second, fainter number, and what sits under those is not an artefact: it is resonance, held in the ground like a sound that never finished. Dig it and it is yours. What is in the update Four new dig sites - Network Sump, Debris Fall, Fracture Verge and Hollow Floor, opening between levels 62 and 80, three strata each, with new research for the deeper layers. Series II artefacts - 20 new artefacts o…

  • v1.4.1 - Lost Time - 11 August 2026

AUGUST 11, 2026 An apology first For the last few days the game was quietly losing time it should have been keeping. If you left it running and came back, the away summary could tell you nothing had happened, and it was right, because nothing had been recorded. It was worst for anyone who walked away with the game open, which is exactly how most people play this. It is fixed, and it is fixed on my side, so you do not have to reinstall or refresh anything to get it back. I am sorry. It is the kind of bug that takes progress you actually earned, and there is no version of that which is fine. Orbital Express, for a week A fix does not give the nights back, so there is a delivery on the way. A crate of Orbital Express Hot Wings has been in orbit since the last time this happened, and the driver has agreed to come back for a week. One a day, seven days. A Delivery button sits in the top bar…

  • Lost Vessel - Electron wrapper update - 9 August 2026

Hey guys, just a quick Steam App patch to address the Chromium / Electron wrap mishandling minimizing and idling on longer away-times. This has been an ongoing issue and this is just one part of the tech-side. Still fixing things on the server-side. If you are having issues, let me know in Discord and please report the specifics in the bug-channel - when you can. Thanks for playing!

  • v1.4.0 - The Deep Survey - 8 August 2026

AUGUST 8, 2026 A second Nexus construction The Deep Survey is a sounding rig built to read what lies under the settlement. The pitch on it says the thing plainly: the colony has surveyed outward since the day it landed, and nobody thought to survey down. 110 million points, half of what the Spire took, rising through four stages you can watch on the map: survey stakes, sounding rig, shaft head, first cut. Priced on the same ladder as the Spire, by tier and processing depth rather than by what anyone is sitting on. Shared items keep the value they already had, so nothing is worth more or less depending on which build you pour it into. What is at the bottom is the entire point of digging, and I am not telling you before you get there. The settlement map remembers Finished projects keep their plot. The Spire still stands where you built it, its final numbers frozen the day it completed: th…

  • The Resonance Spire - one build for the whole server - 29 July 2026

JULY 29, 2026 Nexus Construction The Settlement - the Nexus now has a stretch of cleared ground between the relay towers, with plots to build on. The Resonance Spire - the first construction project. One build for the whole server: every Nexus survivor can contribute materials, everything feeds a single progress total, and the structure rises on the map in real time through its construction phases. Permanent contributions - every donation is recorded, and the top 10 contributors become part of the finished structure forever. Nobody knows what happens when it stands. The readings coming off that ground are strange. Find the site in the Nexus. Gifting Personal gifts - gift a Supporter Pack directly to a specific survivor from their profile. Steam support - the whole gifting system, personal gifts and Signal Boost both, now works on Steam through the Steam wallet, exactly like on web. Chat…

Lost Vessel is out now on SteamA free-to-play idle survival RPG. The whole game, no price tag, no pay-to-win. You're a lone survivor rebuilding from a wreck. From nothing, you gather, craft, and fight your way back up: level dozens of skills toward mastery, forge legendary gear, push through zone after zone, and unlock system after system as you go. It idles while you're away and rewards you when you play. Drop in for five minutes or five hours, your save is always here. What's in it A deep solo game - skills, crafting, combat, research, prestige, and an endgame that keeps opening up. The Nexus Drift (optional co-op) - team up for expeditions, take on a server-wide world boss, and work specialist jobs. • SYSTEMS REFIT: The Whole Interface, Rebuilt - 23 June 2026

The whole interface, rebuilt Lost Vessel's entire UI has been redesigned from the ground up. Every screen now shares one cohesive, framed sci-fi look instead of feeling pieced together. Panels read like the Vessel's own hardware: machined frames, layered material, clear headers and per-stat icons throughout. Same game you know, in a sharper, more immersive shell. What changed One cohesive look across every screen - the homepage, your skills and combat, the Forge, Research, Raiders, the Codex, your profile and the rest. A redesigned skill nav rail with progress rings and at-a-glance status, plus a tidied top bar with Settings and your account tucked into clear menus. Raiders, rebuilt into five clear tabs - War Room, Offense, Defense, Spoils and Territory - with a live command readout and a proper war board for territory. Codex, profile and leaderboard got the same care: framed, readable,…

  • v0.9.24 - More is less - 17 June 2026

JUNE 17, 2026 Pin your favorites to the top of the inventory. Right-click any item on desktop, or tap it open and hit Pin on mobile, and it jumps to the head of the list with a corner marker, so your go-to gear, crates and consumables are always right where you expect them. Pins stay put across reloads, and unpinning works the same way. The Forge's Scrap tab sorts now. Order the list by Yield to put the biggest material returns up top, or by Rarity to keep your best pieces clear of the scrapper, with each button flipping between high-to-low and back. Your raw inventory order is still there as the default. Tidy your Survivor Level rewards. A new "Hide claimed rewards" toggle under the panel headline clears out the tiers you have already taken, so only what is left to earn stays on the track. It remembers your choice across sessions. Your kill missions count the right style while you are…
