- Patch Notes 23.09.2026 - 23 September 2026
Planet Exchange - S0 OnlyEligible colonies can exchange places with an unoccupied planet in Open Space. Available only to Dead Space planets colonized before 25 September 2026, 00:00 UTC.Each eligible planet can be exchanged once. This is a per-planet allowance, not a single exchange for your entire account. The destination must be in a fully explored Open Space system. Both the destination planet and all its moons must be unoccupied. The entire planets exchange places together with their moons. Your planet retains its size, type, temperature, buildings, resources and stationed ships. You are moving your existing colony, not transferring its development onto a different planet.Quantum Synthesizers remain on the relocated planet but stop producing Quantum Dust in Open Space.Active missions involving either planet or their moons prevent the exchange.Permanently deployed stealth observers at…

Reconnaissance and IntelligenceReconnaissance reports now use five intelligence tiers. The information revealed depends on your reconnaissance capabilities and the target’s protection.T0 — Broad estimate: an approximate range for the total operational fleet.T1 — Basic reconnaissance: hull sizes present and rough resource estimates.T2 — Fleet size estimates: estimated numbers by hull size, resource ranges, and the presence of buildings and defenses.T3 — Detailed reconnaissance: individual ship types with quantity ranges, including damaged ships, and estimated building and defense levels.T4 — Exact intelligence: exact ship counts, damaged ships, resources, and building and defense levels at the time of the scan, where applicable. Unknown information is explicitly marked as unknown. It should not be interpreted as an empty fleet or an undefended target. Reports include their capture time a…

- Patch Notes 15.09.2026 - 15 September 2026
Rift Combat and Sealing Fixes ːsteamhappyːOutposts and Depleted Asteroid FieldsIncoming outpost attacks are no longer automatically cancelled simply because the surrounding asteroid field becomes depleted and disappears. If the original outpost remains at the same location, the attacking fleet can still reach it and resolve combat.Fleets already stationed to defend the outpost remain associated with it after field depletion and can participate in its defense.Attacks remain tied to their original target. They will not automatically switch to a replacement outpost or follow an outpost that has relocated.Fixed related checks for vacation mode and outpost management so relevant active missions are still recognised after the asteroid field disappears.Preserved the original target information for battle reports when the field itself no longer exists.Colony Abandonment and Ark ProjectsFixed col…

- Patch Notes 11.09.2026 — Balance, Diplomacy and Galaxy Visibility - 11 September 2026
The PvP protection and alliance-war changes below apply to S0 and Beta only. NF retains its current PvP rules. The economy, ship, wormhole and galaxy-map changes apply across universes.PvP Score Protection - S0 and BetaS0 receives score-based protection against attacks from substantially stronger players. The maximum attacker-to-defender score ratio increases from 2:1 to 5:1.The check uses each player’s overall score, not the size or strength of the fleet being sent. The exact 5:1 boundary is allowed. For example, a player with 500,000 overall score can attack a player with 100,000; a player above 500,000 cannot, unless an exception applies. Score protection does not apply:To targets in Dead Space.Between opposing alliances during an active official war. When the attacker has an active personal retaliation right against the target. The existing 24-hour retaliation rule remains: a substanti…

Outpost RetirementOutposts can now be permanently retired in two different ways.Shipyard Dismantling allows an outpost to be sent to one of your planets with a Planetary Shipyard or moons with a Moon Dockyard.Once dismantling is complete, the full infrastructure investment and all stored resources are returned at the destination. The Engineer Ship used to establish the outpost is also returned.Dismantling requires hydrogen and a fleet slot, and the mission cannot be recalled.Self-Destruct immediately destroys the outpost and creates a private debris field containing 50% of its infrastructure investment and 50% of its stored resources. The occupied asteroid field is released immediately when either retirement option is confirmed.Garrisons and Command Vessels must be evacuated before an outpost can be retired.Outposts with active construction, repairs, or incoming and outgoing missions cann…
