- Announcing Aster League 2179 - 2 July 2026
For the past year I've been chipping away at a new game project in the background. I've recently began mentioning it, have posted a few nondescript teasers in the Neognosis discord, and have even backported some of the shader improvements for it into BallisticNG (there might still be some more stuff to come).Ever since the introduction of the small vehicles content in BallisticNG there's been a very particular idea I've wanted to execute, based on one of my favourite racing games.Taking place 20 years after BallisticNG, Aster has developed its anti-gravity bike league into a major sporting event that sits alongside the AGL. Experimenting with afterburner technology, Aster has carved it's own segment of AG racing where boost is king and piloting in a straight line is a sure-fire way to lose the race.In short: this is BallisticNG small vehicles with a Crash Team Racing twist.Verticality,…
- BallisticNG Neurodrome Expansion announcement - 4 May 2026
Welcome to The Neurodrome, Lance System's advanced training environment. This DLC will be expanding on the virtual tracks previously explored in Nova Park and Vespera Heights with 6 new tracks. As with previous DLCs, ships (both 2159 and 2280 variants) will be receiving new liveries and there will be a new campaign to play through too!All layouts are finished. The expansion will contain 5 layouts for the 2159 physics mode and a layout for the floorhugger physics mode. 2280 physics will of course also be playable on all 6 of them. The price will be the same as the other track DLCs.The first track is done and more showcase announcements will come as they're finished. Just note that I'm also working on the next game project and aiming to release a physics test demo for that in the next few months, so progress might be slower then it has been for past expansions. I'll have a release date at…

- 1.4 Dev 4 is now available - 8 October 2024
With 1.4 being our last major feature update, we want to make sure that we're leaving the game in the best possible state that it can be in. The user interface is an area of the game that's needed some love for a very long time, and we're now giving it the attention it needs. We haven't finished every interface yet and will be completing them in a future development build. The interfaces we still need to update are: Campaign, campaign editor and precision runs. Multiplayer lobby. Multiplayer connecting popups. Options. Records, stats, achievements. Result screens. Code mods management. Gallery. HUDS (text rendering update, minor aesthetic tweaks). Probably some other Uis somewhere (we have a lot). - 1.4 Dev 3 is now available! - 1 September 2024
It's been half a year since our last development branch update. We've been busy, let's get into what's we've been working on. Our previous build focused on setting the foundations for the rewritten 2280 physics mode. In this build we've not only continued to polish it, but have broken its mechanics out into general options that can be used anywhere. On top of this, we're also introducing 2280 variants for almost every ship in the game! Playing on development builds Right click BallisticNG in your steam library and go to Properties Go to the betas tab on the window that opens From the dropdown select development. - What we've been cooking for 1.4 Dev 3 - 23 June 2024
Hey everyone! It's been a while since our last update on the development branch, and it's still going to be a while longer, so we want to give everybody an update on what we've been working on. Please note that we currently don't have an ETA on when we'll be dropping 1.4 Dev 3, there's still plenty of work to be done. 2280 Ships The majority of work these past few months has been on a roster of 2280 ships. With the help of community members Brobama, Kabelsalat, MrX, Nathancubed and Vista, we've been hard at work giving each team a new ship that better suites the 2280 physics mode! These ships are only cosmetic changes and do not alter physics stats. We're also not limiting where they can be used. Not only can they be used in 2159 and floorhugger, but you'll also be able to select them in the campaign! Each ship will have the full livery set, including expansion DLCs and Bling Pack liver…
