Hey y'all! Big update today, just in time for the 2022 U.S. elections! We're clearing out some of the stock photos we used when we originally created the game and bringing you some all-new faces and places. New character portraits for Bernice, Lola, Pet Store Clerk, Skateboarder, College Student, Rock Patriot, Michelle, Kimmy, and Mr. Mrs. Drew. New hotel room for Thunderpaw, new office for Rover, new café, new pet store, new library, various other new backgrounds. New selection of cute human photos. A few new music tracks. Resized a couple cats. Changed text-highlighting effect (again) for enhanced readability Added an options menu Corrected typos and grammar errors.

The tiniest of tweaks to the game today! - Added code so that Cat President 2 will remember what you named the heroine in Cat President 1. Yeah, that's right! Whatever you name your character in this game, that name will now appear in the sequel! If you want to take advantage of this, update (or reinstall) Cat President, and just play up to the part where you name your character (right at the beginning). That name will then appear somewhere in Cat President 2!! ...I'm sorry, I'm probably more excited about this than I should be. It's just a cool thing!!

If you've already completed the game, you can go back and unlock most of them by holding down control and skipping through the dialogue you've already seen. FULL PATCH NOTES: - ACHIEVEMENTS. 21 in total, including two hidden ones. - Corrected typos and added a catload of new puns. - Added pun names for all 50 states. - Questions now stay on-screen during decision points, in case you forgot what you were talking about. - Tweaks to intro to make it more clear which cat is which, and what species the main character is. - Fixed bug with name input: Now if the player doesn't type in a name, it defaults to "Abigail". - Added copyright information and social media icons to title screen. It's come to my attention (thanks, ayarger!) that dialogue in the game was just plopping on the screen all at once, instead of scrolling nicely like it does in most visual novels*. This is now fixed!! The magic of the Internet!! After you've downloaded the patch, it should set the text to the correct speed as soon as you run the game, whether you're starting a new game or loading a save file. If the text is still just plopping onto the screen, let me know. * This is actually how it's been running on my computer all this time; I didn't realize it was showing up differently on other people's computers. My apologies!!
