Retiring Lightblade VR - 15 October 2025
After almost a decade since release, I’ve decided to retire Lightblade VR.I no longer have the ability to maintain or test VR hardware, and newer VR titles have far surpassed this small project.The game will remain playable for everyone who already owns it, but it will no longer be available for purchase after October 31, 2025.Thanks to everyone who supported this little project over the years!

A new version is available, that adjust the lightblades to better align with the Oculus touch handles. Big thanks to Communist Penguin, Neep, jeremytang, heppsan, Lord and Aclus for helping me with the amount of rotation needed!

Bugfix release - 11 December 2016
A new version is available: - No longer need to block all shots to complete a difficulty - Upgrade from Unreal 4.12 to 4.14 - Fix attempt for 'head stuck in the ground with Oculus Rift' Known issues: - the VR mirror screen is incredibly blurry since the upgrade to Unreal 4.14. I found a workaround though that involves recompiling the engine. Will give it a try in the next days.

I just uploaded a small update to the game, which fixes a few minor things: - blades 'clash' now against each other - blades are less bright - a framerate issue that caused the lasers to be way too slow on some devices should be fixed now I will start work on a new level on the upcoming weekend, so stay tuned :-)
