MapCity is a city building sandbox and map editing sandbox where the map itself is your canvas. Pan, zoom, and draw directly onto the world. Lay out anything from an individual building or farm track to a town, city, or wider region. MapCity is as much a drawing tool as it is a game. There are no unlock trees, budgets, or fail states. Roads, buildings, land and water areas, and boundaries are objects you can place, reshape, duplicate, or delete. Build anything, at basically any size: a farm track, a fishing village, a dense downtown, a highway network spanning a continent. Everything on the map is an object you can place, edit or delete, including everything that was already there. No unlock trees, no budget to babysit, no fail state. Layer tools give you full control over every graphical object when you want it - and you can ignore them completely when you don't. 2D mode is great for drawing and mapping, while 3D view is great for viewing your cities as you progress. Look back in awe as you can see entire regional city views at once. Most actions can be performed in either mode. The free optional North America map-data DLC provides a continent-scale real-world starting point with roads, buildings, land cover, water, boundaries, and elevation data. Open an existing place and make it your own: remove mapped objects, replace neighborhoods, or extend what is already there.
