• An Open Question About Game Updates. - 17 September 2026

  Hello everyone! I've encountered an issue that I'd like your advice on.A few days ago I learned that a YouTuber with nearly 200,000 subscribers played The Windzen Legend for over an hour. As of this writing, his video on the game sits at 44,000 views. That's a lot of eyes on the game, and we're very grateful! The playthrough brought a lot of bugs and performance problems to my attention that I got right to work fixing. The majority of that work is already done, and I was preparing a patch for upload, but then I realized something.The two Sub-Weapons that I mentioned in the last update aren't patched in, but they're complete and fully usable. The Power Barrel launches homing missiles, and the Drop Mine leaves electrical charges on the ground that explode over time or on contact with the enemy. • Announcing the Subweapon System! - 11 September 2026

  POV: You're about to get kicked!Hello everyone! Just dropping in to give an update on things after the AutoMap update hit. We're working very hard on the Sub-Weapon system, which will allow Patricia to carry a secondary weapon in addition to her Gatler Gun. What better way to display our progress than with a kick, Patricia's default Sub-Weapon? Every Legend can kick, right? It's a prerequisite!The Sub-Weapon system is a big update, so we're not sure when it'll be patched in, but it shouldn't be more than a few days. The kick is being tested now against Patricia's other systems for conflicts, but we're hoping to launch the Sub-Weapon system with the 'Power Barrel' and 'Drop Mine' Sub-Weapons ready to use, so that there's a lot to play with right out of the gate.We'll wrap up with two work-in-progress images of both weapons! • Another Set of QoL Improvements! - 8 September 2026

  Greetings, Excavouters!This is Mark speaking, Team Leader of the Yasmar City Construction Crew.It's been a few days, but rest assured that we've been hard at work. Today we have two big Quality of Life features to discuss, so let's get right to it!The AutoMap is now in the game. Press 'M' on keyboard or L3 on controller to bring up the AutoMap while in the Ruin. Currently only Ruin 1F has a map, but that's also the only floor with anything in it, so it checks out for now. Later on, maps of each Ruin floor will have to be found before the Automap will work, and further items can be found to upgrade your map with the locations of chests, secret passages and even Balkins!The Pause Menu's "Quit Game" button has been replaced by a "Return to Title Screen" button. It must be pressed multiple times to ensure that you can't lose progress accidentally. So how do you quit the game now? The Title…

• A Look at the Upcoming AutoMap System - 5 September 2026

  Hey everyone!As cool as it would be to release a new patch every night, some things take more than a day to get right. Instead, I'd like to share what we spent the day working on in screenshot form- The AutoMap System!This is a shot of Patricia using the AutoMap to get a reading of Ruin 1F. Her use of this wrist-projected map can be seen in the game's opening, and we're happy to finally get it into the game as a usable mechanic. This will make exploration of the Ruin a much smoother experience, and should hopefully go a ways to explaining why we felt comfortable making the first few floors so dang large in the first place.The wireframe map hovers in 3D space, and it can be panned and rotated freely to get the best view of the environment. • Performance Improvements and Control Tweaks! - 4 September 2026

  Greetings, Excavouters!This is Mark speaking, Team Leader of the Yasmar City Construction Crew.Just when I thought the crew and I were ready to brag about the big new improvements we had implemented, the boss lady dragged me back to the head office. She put my construction blueprints onto a huge drafting table with a built-in heater that brought an entire additional layer of detail out of the paper which we had completely missed. The liquid cooling created vapor as it pulled the heat off of various components.She called it a "Steam Deck".It was only after seeing my blueprints illuminated through the Steam Deck that I realized just how much of the job we had left undone. The Windzen Legend has just received its first patch, and it brings a multitude of improvements to the game just eight hours after it launched!The big changes are as follows:Patricia's JetSkates have been improved, and no longer detect every slight downhill slope as a cliff. Skate downhill to your heart's content, with your feet now firmly on the ground!Patricia's 'Running' state is no longer able to supersede or interrupt her 'Talking', 'Inspecting', and 'Shopping' states, in the case that a directional key was still being held when the interaction began.Patricia's Lock-On function is now less sensitive on the Scroll Wheel and Analog Stick, and has a new short cooldown period af…

For reference, we spent nine months on the entire development cycle of our last game The Windzen Hero, so to say that this has been a big undertaking for us would be putting it mildly. To be honest, we're shooting for the stars and moving way outside of our comfort zone to create the type of game that we feel the world should have more of.So what's in the game right now?You can play from the Intro Stage to the bottom of the Ruin's first floor.
