The house is asleep. Keep it that way. You and up to three friends have one night and one van. The owner is upstairs in bed. Everything you take has to leave through the front door without waking him - and the game is listening. Your microphone is a game mechanic SHHH uses proximity voice chat, and it is not just for talking. The game measures how loud you actually are. A whisper is nearly free. A normal conversation slowly fills the Wake Meter. A laugh or a shout carries through the house and can end the night on its own. The tension does not come from the game telling you to be quiet - it comes from your friend panicking out loud two rooms away. No microphone? The game is fully playable without one. Noise is the real enemy Sneak, walk or sprint - each is louder than the last. Drop a vase and it shatters. Bang a television into a doorframe and the whole house hears it.
