- Update 2.5: The World Editor - 9 October 2026
Thanks for your feedback: you wanted to shape leagues, clubs and players yourselves without writing packages by hand. Now you can. Your saves stay unchanged. World editor New under "Editor & mods" → "World editor", also at the career start without a running career: leagues, clubs and squads as tables. Name, city, arena and colours of every club, league names, player names, positions, nationality, birth year and shirt number. Draw a crest or use your own picture ("Only my image"). The picture goes into the package. Every entry is checked right at the cell. Undo and redo are included, and a draft is saved automatically on this computer. CSV exchange with Excel, Numbers and LibreOffice: one file for the clubs, one for the squads. The template contains the whole world (142 clubs, 2,840 squad places). The result is a world package (.emlc, format 4): up to 12 leagues and 142 clubs in one file…
- Update 2.4.2: Easier to find the editor and mods - 9 October 2026
Thanks for the feedback: many of you could not find the club editor and the mods. This small update changes that. Your saves stay unchanged. Editor & mods New "Editor & mods" entry in the game menu (Esc), in the "Welcome back" window and in the career hub. The window explains what the club editor can do (crest, also with your own image, name, city, colours, arena, sponsors, roster, file exchange), where to find it, and jumps straight in with one click. The club editor still edits the club of a running career. Without a running career the window says so honestly and leads to the career start. "Packages & Workshop" can now be opened without a running career, too: import or subscribe to mods and switch them on for new careers before you start. In the career start, a note points to it as long as no mod is active. A one-time tip that you can click away shows the new entry. Only your computer…
- Update 2.4.1: Crest mode "Only my image" and Workshop mods with own players - 7 October 2026
Thanks to Michael (YouTube: Mbeisler97) for the suggestions on crests and mods. Simply keep playing your current careers: old saves and existing mods load unchanged. Crests New switch "Only my image (without crest shape and frame)" in the crest atelier: your own picture replaces crest shape, pattern, symbol, lines and frame completely. It is no longer clipped to the crest shape. Transparent PNG and WebP images are supported cleanly; a transparent PNG works best. Switching it off brings your built crest back unchanged. As before, the image stays local in your save game. Workshop mods League packs and club collections can now bring their own players: first and last name, position and, optionally, nationality, birth year and shirt number. Whoever is listed first in his position gets the strongest squad slot. The game still assigns ratings, contracts and salaries, so mods cannot break balan…
- Update 2.4: Difficulty levels, coaching staff and foreign leagues - 3 October 2026
Thank you for your feedback! 2.4 delivers a large part of it. Simply keep playing your current careers: they are converted the first time you load them, and the game backs up the old file first. Difficulty Five levels: Beginner, Amateur, Pro (the difficulty you know), Veteran and Hardcore Ice Crack, plus a custom setting. In a running career the difficulty can only be lowered. What your staff handles can be switched at any time. Hardcore Ice Crack is Ironman: a single autosave, no loading of older saves. Coaching staff and training Assistant coach, analyst, scout, youth coach and fitness coach as individual people with levels, specialisations and contracts. The analyst prepares an opponent dossier and a match plan. Training progress is visible, and individual training offers six focus areas. "Staff handles it": hand over training, line-ups, scouting, youth work and live coaching. On the…
- Update 2.3.1: Settings stay, sturdier Steam Cloud - 1 October 2026
Fixes - Volume, UI size, contrast, colour vision mode and match view are kept after a restart. - The arena atmosphere no longer goes silent after briefly minimising or switching windows during a live match. - Steam Cloud: a single faulty file no longer holds up your other saves, syncing and quitting are much faster, and large careers are compressed. - The cup edition of the newspaper can be told apart from the league edition, and "Read the Matchday Gazette" opens the right edition. - The header no longer shows a wrong matchday during the play-offs and the summer break. - Smaller text and image fixes. The full game launches on 8 October 2026 at 19:00 CEST – add Eishockey Manager Legacy to your wishlist now!

- Day one: keys, a pen and a number - 21 September 2026
Thanks for the sudden interest. Here are a few things that didn't fit on the store page. Your career doesn't start with a menu, it starts with your first day Arrival at the arena, the boardroom, the locker room, your first press room. The board hands you the keys, a pen and a number they consider realistic. You will be reminded of that number. You're not just watching During a match you can step in at stoppages: timeout, change lines, switch tactics, pull the goalie. One rule we're proud of: everything you have already seen stays exactly as it was. Your decision takes effect from the next minute, never retroactively. No re-rolling, no quiet rewriting. The board delivers a verdict every quarter With reasons, not moods. Miss the targets and you get a new salary budget, or a sentence about the end of your contract that is remarkably short in the minutes. The locker room remembers Line chem…
