- Free DLC Pterosaur Hill available on Steam now! - 28 June 2018
The new DLC “Pterosaur Hill” featuring new maps, creatures and gameplay is now added to your game as an update patch! The “Pterosaur Hill” DLC is built around the concept of flight. Three new maps are included: Mountain Lake, Crystal Sky Lift, and Aviary. In addition to using land-based vehicles, players will now get to: float in a hot air balloon overseeing Mountain Lake; ride the Crystal Sky lift, where they can soar through the clouds; and gaze upon the majestic nest of Quetzalcoatlus – the largest prehistoric flying creature – in the Aviary. ARK Park , in case the name (not to mention the headline above) doesn't make it clear, is an Ark: Survival Evolved offshoot. Announced last year, it's a fairly laid back museum-like affair where you can wander around and gawk at prehistoric beings. Or is it? Apparently there will be some "hardcore" elements too, if this news story from last year is still accurate.  Anyway, the game now has an official release date, that being March 22. It'll launch for both Vive and Oculus Rift (not to mention PSVR), and is handled by a third-party studio, Snail Games. Judging by this reveal of the gameplay footage, Ark Park looks to be the next best thing. Developed independently by Snail Games, Ark Park lets you explore and interact with dinos in a variety of Jurassic climates all from the comfort of your VR goggles.
