  • 0.9.9 - Final build before launch - 13 October 2026

Patch Notes New: Curtain Call Moving between screens now closes and opens a pair of stage curtains, replacing the old circle wipe. The curtains come with their own sound for closing and opening. They match your Colour Palette setting: classic red, or a darker version in Dark Mode. New screens now finish loading behind the closed curtains, so they open on a ready screen. Workshop Browser More ways to sort: Trending today, this week or this month, Most subscribed, and Best match when searching. New FILTER button next to SORT. Filter by language, by category, or by any tag, and hide packs that contain swearing. Tag suggestions now cover everything in use on the Workshop, and you can search any tag by typing it. Packs now show their tags on their cards. Translation Groundwork The game's text is now ready for localisation. More languages are on the way. Fixes The tutorial scene now always ap…

  • The playtest must come to an end (soon) - 11 October 2026

Hey guys, I'll keep it short, I'm still working on patching bugs and will hopefully have one final patch out BEFORE launch, if you want to have some input and have witnessed any bugs, feel free to drop into the discord and have a chat/post it in #bugs, or fill out this form (google forms, no personal data stored or required on my end), and let me know what you've found, I'd like for launch to go as smoothly as possible!-

  • GO DUB YOURSELF! — 0.9.1 - 8 October 2026

New: first-time tutorial New players get a short walkthrough the first time they reach the main menu: open Clip Studio, add the line missing from a copy of the Cosmonaut Astronaut scene (type the original or write your own), test it in the Dub Stage, then listen to the line and record it. SKIP TUTORIAL is on screen the whole time. Play it again any time from Settings → General → Tutorial. Fixes Fixed some converted packs where the original voices didn't play when listening to a line, or the music played twice. Fixed some converted packs that came out with a separate character for every line. Convert these packs again to fix them. Fixed a couple of Clip Studio issues that could overwrite a line's audio.

  • GO DUB YOURSELF! Playtest — 0.9.0 - 6 October 2026

Update 0.9.0 — Feature Freeze & The Tape Shelf We’ve officially hit Feature Freeze! Version 0.9.0 is the last update with new features before our full release. From here until launch, every update will focus entirely on bug fixes and polish — so please keep those bug reports coming! 🕹️ New Features The Tape Shelf A new THE TAPE SHELF banner on the Home screen opens a dedicated view where every dub you've exported sits on a shelf with a thumbnail. Pick one to watch it on the big screen, or use SHOW FILE to find it on disk. It reads the same folder your exports are saved to, so if you've changed that folder, the shelf follows it. Timing Nudge Came in a bit early or late? While you review a take, use the ◀ ▶ arrows on the compare panel (or and ]; hold Shift for fine steps) to slide it up to a second either way. The game keeps a second of audio either side of the take lines, so a clipped s…

  • Hotfix - 5 October 2026

Packs with a separate dialogue track (packs made from scratch with background and dialogue audio) now play the original line when you listen to it in the Dub Stage. It was playing the scene with nobody talking. New: a Credits screen under Settings → General → About. The included sample scene "Cosmonaut Astronaut" uses footage and dialogue from Cosmos Laundromat, (CC) Blender Foundation | gooseberry.blender.org, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0). The pack now credits the Blender Foundation as its author.

  • GO DUB YOURSELF! — Playtest build 0.8.0 - 5 October 2026

GO DUB YOURSELF! — Playtest build 0.8.0 Thanks to everyone who played on Saturday night. Most of this update comes straight from that session. Online playback fixed Everyone now hears every line at the end of a dub. The host was sending recorded lines faster than Steam could carry them, and the overflow was silently thrown away. Lines are now sent at a pace Steam can handle, and Steam's own limits have been raised. Recorded lines are about 6× smaller on the wire, so they arrive much faster. Playback can't start until every player has every line. An AUDIO SYNC bar shows progress, and a chime plays when everyone's ready. If you fall slightly behind the host during playback, the game now catches you up by speeding up a little instead of skipping. Fixed Pass the Mic sometimes not handing the turn to the next player. Fixed a player getting dropped from the room at the end of a long game. Fix…
