Changes :star: Updated PT localization for improved translations. Bugfixes :bug: Resolved a softlock issue in challenge level V. Players should no longer get stuck. Fixed a bug where special letters were displayed in uppercase instead of lowercase. Addressed a glitch in level 27 where one boss pattern could cause players to be stuck outside the fighting area. After defeating the Loki Boss and destroying the Mirror, the reflections of the mirror would still be rendered. This has been fixed, and reflections now turn off properly upon mirror destruction. Rectified a weird beaming behavior in the Jormugandr Boss encounter. Resolved dash through small gaps issue: Dashing through small gaps could lead to unintended teleportation. Our beloved Asgardian god returns with an exciting update! Introducing the :star: Assist Mode :star: allowing you to play like a (tiny) god. Assist Mode With careful attention to your feedback, we acknowledged a common concern - the challenging difficulty. As the game was designed with pixel perfect platforming, imposing boss fights and tricky puzzles in mind, striking the right balance for all players was difficult. Thus, we created the optional Assist Mode, giving you the freedom to activate or deactivate it in the settings as you wish. Tiny Thor, your favorite hero, is back, showcasing his skills in a brand new gameplay trailer! Happy New Year! It has been some time since we last wrote about some development updates, so let's start with the good news first: We are certain that we will release Tiny Thor in Q2 this year! ːsteamthisː ːsteamthisː ːsteamthisː Now to the content of this post, some of you who perhaps also played some other Norse themed game lately (that might have won some awards....) might ask themselves which part of the nordic mythology Tiny Thor is covering. It will be loosely based on events leading up to Ragnarök We won't spoil you here how far we go, but be sure that you will be immersed not only by the wonderful setting and art, but also through the storytelling we recently added. Let us know what you think of storytelling in a platformer and whether you would like to see more of it! - The beginning of an adventure - 6 August 2022
We finished the new title screen for Tiny Thor this week. The old one (which can still be seen in the demo) was often criticized. And we also felt that a handmade pixel art screen would do more justice to the game. In the background, you can see Yggdrasil, the world tree that is central to our story. A view over the different worlds, and a hero who is ready to face his responsibility, should set the mood for a great 16-bit inspired pixel art adventure. I hope you enjoy it.
- When is Tiny Thor going to be released? - 23 July 2022
Our game Tiny Thor has been in development for a very long time now. We even made the mistake of announcing a release date several times, only to epically miss it (it's always the same with these lazy developers). We've finally changed our minds and decided NOT to break Duke Nukem Forever's development time world record. Furthermore, we will complete and release Tiny Thor in 2023 (for real! seriously! I promise!). Seriously, we're really happy with the state of our game right now. There are still some features missing, but they are manageable (actually, most of the stuff is to polish things up). In fact, for the first time in development, our to-do list is getting smaller instead of bigger (if only there weren't those stupid bugs. GRRRRR!!!).
