- Wot I Think: Odyssey The Next Generation Science Game - 19 April 2017
Lots of people have tried to make educational games. Few have succeeded. Odyssey gets closer than most, in its efforts to teach about physics, astronomy and mechanics. It’s been in early access for a while, but comes out today, accompanied by a price drop. Here’s wot I think: …
- Odyssey launched today! - 19 April 2017
Hi everyone! Today’s the day - the day that the past few years have been leading up to. We’re pleased/excited/nervous to announce that the V1 version of Odyssey is now available on Steam for $14.99! The game represents so much hard work from many talented individuals, to whom we’d like to extend our immense gratitude. And, of course, we couldn’t begin to express enough appreciation to everyone who’s supported the game so far - whether that’s on Kickstarter, Greenlight, Early Access, or simply hitting the retweet or share buttons on social media. We couldn’t have got here without you. The update being rolled out today isn’t our most substantial, but it marks the point at which we consider Odyssey ‘finished’. We may still continue to make updates, small tweaks and stability fixes etc, but this - the first of two planned Odyssey games, the second of which will tie up the story - now feels…

- Big news - Odyssey will be migrating out of Early Access this month! - 6 April 2017
Hi everyone! We have some exciting news for you today… but first, a bit of context. When we released Odyssey on Steam Early Access back in February, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect. Would people enjoy the game? Would people have valuable feedback? What sort of ideas and suggestions would our players send our way, and how easy or difficult would they be to implement? We were delighted when you all began to give us so much fantastic feedback, clear and easy to digest. So we set about implementing it. We wanted to stay on Early Access for long enough to be confident in the quality of Odyssey - to make sure that what we’d be putting out there was something we could be proud of, and that the community would enjoy to its fullest. Now, as we edge into April, we feel we’re almost there - and so, we’re very happy to announce today that the V1 version of Odyssey will launch on Steam on We…

- Update on features and bugs - 3 March 2017
Hi everyone, First of all, thanks so much to everyone who’s played Odyssey so far. It means the world to us to see people playing the game we’ve worked so hard on. Thanks, too, to everyone who has provided feedback. Many of your comments have been hugely enlightening to us and have helped us to spot aspects of the game that could be improved upon, which we wouldn’t have spotted without your help. Indeed, certain themes began to emerge within a few days of release. Mouse movement, for example, is something a lot of people picked up on - particularly vertical movement - feeling a little rough and ready. So this is something for which we’re already working on a fix. Others of you said you prefer to play this sort of game in windowed mode, which Odyssey didn’t previously support. So we’ve started work on a patch for that, too. Along with these, there are countless small issues, bugs, glitch…
