Microsoft has announced the first batch of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in June. Tomorrow, June 1, will see the release of For Honor: Marching Fire Edition for PC via the Ubisoft Connect app and the cloud. The console version has been upgraded to the Marching Fire Edition. The Marching Fire Edition of For Honor contains the Marching Fire Expansion and the base game, allowing you to play through 16 heroes. The expansion also comes with the Wu Lin faction. It includes four heroes, Arcade Mode, and access for all players to Breach - a 4v4 PvP mode where you'll attack and defend a castle. Read more

An Assassin's Creed streamer has managed to achieve the pretty impressive feat of beating all mainline games without taking a single bit of damage. Video games are obviously a breeding ground for challenge, and in games with health, managing to not take a single hit is certainly one of the bigger ones. Now, streamer and YouTuber Hayete Bahadori has been able to do just that, with all 12 mainline Assassin's Creed games (thanks Kotaku ). Bahadori completed this months long challenge in April, uploading the second part of his Assassin's Creed Valhalla run on April 11. There's an entirety playlist dedicated to this journey which you can check out below, though you'll need to set aside a good chunk of time. As the entire playlist runs for over 80 hours. Read more

- Long-awaited 60 FPS patch may be on the way for Assassin’s Creed Origins - 22 December 2021
During what Ubisoft calls Assassin’s Creed Day on Twitter, the official account announced the possible intent of adding the ability to play Assassin’s Creed Origins in 60 FPS, a feature that fans have been requesting for a while now. It’s unlikely that this would apply to last-gen consoles given how they work, meaning players would need a PS5 or an Xbox Series X/S to really benefit from it. Still, given how the following two entries in the series both can run at 60 FPS and Origins represents the new beginning point for the series, it’s only appropriate that Origins achieves technical parity. That way, players who want to get into the series don’t have to prepare for a technical downgrade. The Assassin’s Creed franchise keeps rolling on. - Assassin's Creed star's new indie studio gets major EA funding - 11 March 2021
Silver Rain Games, the new developer co-founded by BAFTA-nominated Assassin's Creed star Abubakar Salim, will become the next team working under the EA Originals label. It means the studios' debut project will be funded by EA and be shown on the same stage as the publisher's biggest games, as well as fellow EA Originals such as A Way Out, Fe, and Sea of Solitude. The announcement caps off a successful first year for Silver Rain Games, a remote studio headed up by former BAFTA Games programme manager Melissa Phillips and Salim himself - who you may know better as Bayek in Assassin's Creed Origins or Father in the Ridley Scott HBO series Raised by Wolves. - Assassin's Creed creative director Ashraf Ismail fired from Ubisoft - 14 August 2020
Ashraf Ismail, creative director of several Assassin's Creed games, has been formally fired by Ubisoft following an investigation into allegations of misconduct. Ubisoft Montreal colleagues were told the news yesterday via an internal email obtained by Kotaku . "Following an investigation by an external firm, it was determined that Ashraf's employment with Ubisoft had to be terminated," the message read.
