- Pet Naming Crash Fixed: SO UPDATE BEFORE COMPLETING THE TODO LIST in the SPAWN - 29 August 2026
Hi everyone!Just a quick hotfix . (More fine tuning to come...)We found an issue that could crash the game when naming a newly created pet, after completing the To Do list which was effectively blocking pet creation. That bug has now been fixed.Once you’ve completed the starting area and finished the To Do List, you should now be able to get and name your first pet normally.BUTIf you got this crash, then applied the update, and the resume your game and your pet is not there, you will have to start a new game to invoke the To do list again to get the per reward.SO UPDATE BEFORE COMPLETING THE TODO LISTTo ease completing the To do list in the starting spawn, I also made a couple of small resource adjustments.Twine Bits now drop more often from thickets.Flint now drops more often from rocks. We’re going to keep pushing out fixes and balance adjustments like this as people play the new build…
- A New Beginning for Adventure Craft — The New Build Is Live! - 28 August 2026
An Update 5 Years in the making!Five years. That’s how long we’ve been working toward getting this version of Adventure Craft out into the world, and it feels genuinely surreal to finally be able to say that the new build is live on the main branch. When Adventure Craft first came out, I was still learning a huge amount about making games. I was incredibly happy that there were people who saw what I was trying to make and really loved it, but I also knew there was so much more I wanted to do with it. I wanted the world to be bigger, stranger, deeper, more rewarding to explore, and ultimately much closer to the game I had in my head.A lot of life has happened while we’ve been making it. Adventure Craft has been part of my life for around ten years now. During that time all three of my children were born, I lost both my mother and father, we all lived through a global pandemic. Through all…

- Mage Factions Enter the World - 26 March 2026
HI!Here’s a quick look at what I’ve been working on today.I’ve begun integrating the updated Mage content into the world — expanding the roster so each Mage type now belongs to its own faction, complete with unique allegiances. This video contains some early play testing of a Green Mage tile map. Black Mages — Powers of DarknessThe first of the Darkness faction to walk in daylight. They twist the world in preparation for night, planting dark spawning constructs that call forth enemies for the Dark Ones."The night is coming.”🌊 Blue Mages — Water MagicAligned with the Green Mages. They command water and ice, summoning Water Slimes and bending the battlefield to their will. Where they gather, the ground softens, the air chills, and movement slows beneath their control.“The tide always comes.”🌿 Green Mages — Nature’s WillGuardians of nature’s balance.Aligned with the living world, they nurt…
- Beyond the Spawn: New Enemies, Loot, and Dangerous Areas - 22 March 2026
Hi!Since the last news update, development has shifted from the underground cave system to the dangerous new world beyond the player spawn. This above-ground area is where things really begin to open up — with new environments, encounters, and challenges waiting just outside the safety of the starting zone. Here’s a video montage showcasing footage from both the cave system and some of the new tile maps beyond the spawn.A thorny areaNew Environmental EffectsOne of the final additions to the underground areas was a new layer of environmental effects, including drifting fog to enhance the eerie atmosphere of the depths. The fog subtly rolls through the caves, adding both visual depth and a stronger sense of danger as you explore below.Gem Mining and Rare LootThe cave systems are filled with rare loot and hidden treasures, including newly added gem deposits scattered throughout the depths. The…
- Underground Progress Update! - 9 February 2026
Hi!We’re continuing to make solid progress on the underground cave system, and it’s really starting to come together. It’s feeling much more robust now, with a lot more variety and atmosphere as you move through it.I grabbed some footage of me running around down there so you can get a feel for how it’s shaping up in motion. Have a look and let me know what you think so far — feedback is always welcome.Gonna have to go aroundThere are a lot of stalagmites underground, so these larger static assets help break things up — adding visual variety and opening up clearer pathways through the caves. Many of these objects can’t be destroyed, which means monsters have to navigate around them instead of beelining straight toward you. Handy!Building a better BatI’ve redesigned the bats from the older version of the game. They’re a bit plumper now, and a lot more expressive overall. The originals we…
- 👉 We’re Back! Dev Blog #1 for 2026 - 3 February 2026
Hi everyone,After a nice break over the holidays, we’re back to work on Adventure Craft for 2026. Right before I stepped away, I was right at the start of a final art pass on the underground cave system. This pass is all about polish — adding those last details that help the caves feel more grounded, more ancient, and more visual variation to enhance exploring.Once that’s wrapped up, my focus will shift back above ground to the world beyond the Player Spawn Area, where a lot of content has been building up in the background and is ready to start coming together.Right now, I’m adding a collection of static environmental props that have a much lower chance of generating than the standard cave assets. These are meant to feel rare — the kind of things you stumble across occasionally and immediately recognize as something special. Some of these props may also act as spawn points for certain…
- End of Year Update – Underground Progress - 20 December 2025
Happy Holidays! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported Adventure Craft over the years. 2025 has been my busiest year yet working on the game, and I’m genuinely really happy with how everything is coming together. It’s been a very long and often tough road continuing to work on a single project for over 10 years, but the support, encouragement, and kind words from you all have kept me going. They’ve continually reinforced my belief that Adventure Craft is a project worth finishing — and finishing properly.I’ll be stepping away from the project for the next four weeks to celebrate Christmas with my family and recharge for a big push in 2026.I truly appreciate every one of you, and I can’t wait to finally release the game. I promise it will be worth the wait.In the meantime, here are some screenshots showing progress on the underground cave system 👇 Ive been so busy with it over t…
- The Dark Congregation Rises ⚔️: Developement Update - 29 September 2025
Hi everyone!Sorry for the late update — it’s been another super busy week working on Adventure Craft. This week I’ve been continuing work on The Dark Congregation, a powerful boss enemy that lurks deep within the underground cave system. My main focus this week has been on creating the sound effects for this chaotic fight. And working on the supporting characters that join the battle. Here’s a short clip of the battle so you can check out how the sounds are coming along! It’s a frantic, high-energy fight with explosions, magical attacks, and non-stop action. (Thankfully I'm invincible in debug mode) Balancing the sound mix has been a real challenge, but I’m excited to share how it’s shaping up:The Boss Arena is surrounded by Dark Golden Cathedrals, which continuously spawn Dark Followers and Dark Worshippers.🟡 Yellow Dark Worshippers transform into Crystal Mines shortly after spawning (o…
- The Dark Congregation Rises! Weekly Update - 18 September 2025
Hi! This week I continue working on the cave system and its inhabitants. My current focus is the monster known as The Dark Congregation. The Dark CongregationThe Dark Congregation is a massive Dark One whose body is formed from a swarm of smaller monsters clustered around a glowing red relic. Deep in the cave system, their combined Dark Energy creates a halo above its head.Long ago, an ancient miniature civilization mistook this halo as divine — a belief that ultimately led to their destruction. Wielding a staff of solidified golden syrup, the Dark Congregation strikes its own halo to conjure waves of devastating magic.Original DesignThis was the first take on the Dark Congregation — already creepy, with the clustered body and glowing relic. Refined Design + Idle AnimationsIn the updated design, you can see a lot more presence: the staff is larger and more ornate, the cloak and form are…
- Cave System Debugging Continues! Weekly News Update - 12 September 2025
Hi! Today I tested the revision of the procedural event system for the underground caves system! Please Enjoy!
- Adventure Craft Weekely Update: New Traps, Caves & Gem Mining - 6 September 2025
Hi Everyone!I didn’t quite have the time to record and edit a video this week, but I still wanted to drop by, say hello, and share a few fresh screenshots with you.Work continues on revising the underground cave system. This time I managed to blast my way in without accidentally blowing myself up. Progress! This week I also gave the old rock traps a facelift with new art. There are now three different variations, adding more visual variety (and more ways to get squished).Falling rocks now hit a lot harder, which makes baiting powerful mobs into them even more satisfying. I’m especially happy with how this new version turned out—the jagged, spiky look really makes it pop.I also spent time refining the event system for gem mining—balancing, updating, and making sure it feels more rewarding overall. There’s still a new video coming, just delayed a couple of days. Since it’s Father’s Day here…
- ✨ Bombing my way Into the Caves – Weekly Update - 29 August 2025
Hi everyone, James here with another weekly Adventure Craft dev update! In this video I try to bomb my way into the new cave system to show you how things are shaping up underground. The caves were one of the very first things I built for the game, and over time they got left a little incomplete as I focused more on the surface. With the next update they’re getting a full overhaul. Now the caves will feature:A variety of Gem Biomes you can search and mineUpdated artwork for stalagmites, pillars, rocks, and treasure chestsAncient ruins from a lost civilization you can explore and break apartNew gem deposits (and special pickaxes to mine them)Gem monstrosities and other new enemies guarding these areasAnd plenty of tweaks to make the caves more dangerous but way more rewardingEverything in the footage is still work-in-progress — I’m testing with debug items (and blowing myself up with bombs…
- Into the Caves – Weekly Update - 21 August 2025
Hey everyone,@iENDERi here! Just wanted to drop in with a quick peek at what I’ve been working on in Adventure Craft this week.Lately I’ve been deep in the underground cave system. Like the rest of the game, a lot of the original artwork has been touched up, polished, and expanded so the caves should feel way more fun to explore in the next release. I know some of you probably liked the old look, but over the 10 years I’ve been doing pixel art my style has shifted a lot, and I think this new version really fits where the game is heading. This footage was captured from the iPad version of the game, which is being developed alongside the PC version. That’s why the resolution is lower and there’s no sound in this clip. For now, I just wanted to share a little progress update to keep you in the loop. Thanks as always for following the journey—more to come soon!@iENDERi
- Current Status of Adventure Craft - 13 August 2025
Hi everyone, @iENDERi here – creator of Adventure Craft.I recently returned to the discussion pages for Adventure Craft after being away for a while, and I’ve seen some negative comments about the lack of communication here on Steam — including suggestions that the game might be abandoned or “dead.” I want to take full responsibility for that. I should have been posting regular updates here on Steam to show how development was progressing. I understand the negative effect my silence has had on the community, and I sincerely apologize. I’m still learning, and this is something I’m determined to improve. Is the game abandoned?Absolutely not. Adventure Craft has been in full-time development since the last update. I’ve been dedicating 100% of my time to development work — but out of habit, I’ve been posting updates on X instead of here. In hindsight, that was a mistake, because Steam is whe…
