  • Bullet Candy now on SteamDeck - 1 October 2026

Hi,With today's update, Bullet Candy now runs natively on Steam Deck. It runs really nicely, thanks to Valve's hardware being pretty cool, and the mobile form factor suits the game pretty well too. This update also add Mac support, as well as some new and old gameplay modes returning after a long absence. Check out Mini Bullet Candy and Bullet Candy 2026 for new stuff, and go back in time and try some of the original releases from the last 20 years, including the original 2007 Steam version, the 2013 remake and a pre-release prototype!Have fun!CheersCharlie

  • Bullet Candy 20th Anniversary Edition - 1 October 2026

Bullet Candy 2026 As of May 4th this year, it will have been 20 years since the original release of Bullet Candy, Though it's origins start much earlier than that. I Suppose that makes it officially retro now, rather than retro themed. 20 years prior to It’s release (1986) saw the release of SEGA’s Outrun, Nintendo’s first Metroid and Zelda games, Llamasoft’s incredibly difficult Iridis Alpha, early doors real time 3D shooter Starglider on the Atari ST and style over substance pioneer Defender of the Crown, all of which were pretty much digital antiques by 2006. This version of Bullet Candy is an archive of the various versions that have been available. While I think the game has generally improved over time, I appreciate some folks express a preference for version X over version Y. Hopefully the different versions presented here will have something for everyone who has played the game…

  • Stealing Candy From Babies: King Embrace The Aristocracy - 21 January 2014

While the joys of Candy Crush Saga have only reached the PC in the form of a Facebook app, the implications of one of the worst decisions by the US trademark office affect developers on all platforms. They have, as of last week, decided it’s perfectly reasonable for owners King to trademark the word “candy”. And they’re trying to get “saga” too. So it is that Gamezebo reports developers are now receiving threats that they must remove their apps or games if they have had the temerity to use this oh-so rare word in their product name. It’s the “edge” fiasco all over again, except this time with actual legal muscle behind it. (more…)
